Did everyone abandon this one? I finally had a chance to watch this week's episode. I'll probably continue to stick with it to see how everything ties together.

The ratings are terrible for CBS and there is a good chance it doesn't see its entire run on broadcast television.

Here is what I dont understand.
If a show is hyped and fails, whatever. But what about shows that have all episodes already taped?
I remember with Zero Hour, they had all episodes taped but ratings were not good so they cancelled it after2-3 episodes. What is the point of cancelling when you have all the episodes taped. Some views are better than none, no?
Why not just show the remaining episodes if you already spent the money. At least low rating gets you back something.

Because they think a re-run of something else gets better ratings. It's all already paid for.
I remember when NBC would plug in reruns of the different L&Os when they cancelled shows. They got better ratings and it cost them no more money.

But they already spent the money on filming, why not take whatever they can get to try to get back some money. Doesn't seem to make sense to just waste the money and not try and get something, anything, back.
Who cares about ratings. Get back some money you spent of filming all the episodes. Talk about throwing away money.

I absolutely love this show and I think the suspense is building from week to week. I'm just sorry that not enough people are watching. It's one of the few shows this fall that's holding my attention.

Then if this does get the axe, I hope it's available on iTunes for the remaining season.
At least then they can make some scratch off it. plus I can finish up the 'story'.
I think this will survive though. Toni Collette and Dylan McDermott should be enough to bring in moderate viewership.

I chose the wrong show.
It was either The Blacklist or this and chose this show. Oh well. I really like McDermott, and I think the show has been fine, we usually watch it whenever we have time, so yeah.

You couldn't DVR both? Blacklist is a hit and got a full season. You can still catch up on Hulu or NBC.com

I think there was a lot of potential for Hostages given the quality of talent involved but it really underachieved.

The Blacklist bored me to death. Tried it for two episodes and it's just the same bullshit of a mysterious character that they give you tidbits of info about each episode while they go off and catch this weeks "bad guy". Fucking lame. Hostages as ridiculous as it is, at least is entertaining and a bit different than other shows.
