WILL ARNETT, BEAU BRIDGES, MARGO MARTINDALE AND JB SMOOVE STAR IN THE NEW FAMILY COMEDY "THE MILLERS," PREMIERING THURSDAY, OCT. 3 ON CBS

"Pilot" - Nathan and his sister, Debbie, are upset when their parents announce they're divorcing after 43 years of marriage. However, that's nothing compared to the panic they feel when Carol, their intrusive mother, announces that she's moving in with Nathan, while Tom, their easily distracted father, is moving in with Debbie, on the series premiere of THE MILLERS, Thursday, Oct. 3 (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

THE MILLERS stars Will Arnett as Nathan Miller, a recently divorced local roving news reporter looking forward to living the singles' life until his parents' marital problems unexpectedly derail his plans. After Nathan finally breaks the news of his divorce to his parents, Carol and Tom, his father is inspired to follow suit and stuns the family when he leaves his wife of 43 years. Already in shock, Nathan is even more aghast when his meddlesome mom decides to move in with him. Meanwhile, his absent-minded dad imposes upon Nathan's sister, Debbie, her husband, Adam, and their daughter, Mikayla. Nathan's best friend and news cameraman, Ray, was excited to be Nathan's wingman in the dating scene, but Carol manages to even cramp his style. Now, as Nathan and his sister settle in with their truly impossible parents, they both wonder just how long the aggravating adjustment period is going to last.

Tough.

I love Will Arnett and Greg Garcia shows (Raising Hope, Earl). But this went through heavy recasting, which brought on people I do like...so shit, I'll watch it. At the very least, it will be a great 13 episodes.

Will just can't catch a TV Break.

I happened to catch this by chance and thought it was hilarious. Haven't laughed like that at a sitcom in a long time.

I don't know why they made Beau Bridges such a doofus in this. Margo Martingdale is such a good actress.

The conversation about the masturbation in the shower was good.

I just came in to see what the thoughts were on this... I haven't watched it myself... and I just noticed that Bridges and Martindale are both on "The Masters of Sex" which just premiered. Nice to have extra work.

It was pretty good. I liked Up All Night too although it wasn't great it was good. This had some laughs but also relied on some fart jokes which I view as lazy writing. When in doubt, throw in some bodily function humor. Although I did think the shower masturbation line was funny. That came out of nowhere.

Is Hollywood running low on actresses? That's two that are double dipping right now.

The reviews I read made this sound like one of the better comedies this season but I didn't care for it. Will Arnett is great but there wasn't anything redeeming about it. It felt like a typical CBS comedy to me. Oh well.

No idea this was a Greg Garcia show. Makes me want to give it more of a chance than I was planning after the first episode.

I have never found Will Arnett funny in anything other than Arrested Development.

Seems like a lot of shows with parents who are mean or overly annoying towards their children this year.

I did not see that one coming! Guess it's at the point now where any sitcom on CBS will succeed (and any sitcom on NBC will fail).

I found the one from last night incredibly uncomfortable to watch. I was liking this show but didn't care for this one.
