Here we go again with more contract issues with this show.

Thomas Gibson, Joe Mantegna, A.J. Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Shemar Moore all have expiring contracts after this current season.

The show has not been renewed yet. According to this story, Gibson and Mantegna are negotiating and are the closest to re-signing.

Cook and Vangsness rejected CBS's contract offer. They may not return.

You absolutely need Garcia back. JJ actually improved when they gave her more stuff to do.

Moore isn't close to a new deal yet.

The only people signed for next season are Gubler and Tripplehorn. Honestly, I hate Tripplehorn's character. Bad replacement for Paget Brewster.
I can see it now... They kill off everyone so they don't have to resign them!

Re: Criminal Minds -- Season 8 -- Wednesdays (CBS)

Why the fuck does CBS continue to fuck with this show? it's ridiculous. I still watch, but I'm usually a few weeks behind. I hope the entire cast comes back. Their replacements over the years (Tripplehorn and Rachel Nichols) have been horrible.

Re: Criminal Minds -- Season 8 -- Wednesdays (CBS)

Spoiler:
Garcia. Has to be. I have a theory. From the episode about 2 months ago, she ran into a guy she dated in the past at the coffee shop. I theorize that guy is actually the serial killer trailing the team. That scene where she was playing the ukelele for him was just to weird to be in this show. I think that ties into the overall plot. We shall see.

Either that, or Strauss bites it. They've done a weird turnabout with her character this year, so I could see her being the one taken out. That way they can say "major character" but not really be a regular cast member.

Spoiler:
They could always kill off Gideon. They also have "Xander" (I have no idea what his character's name is on this show).

I like this show but I'd rather see it die a quick death than the slow 'lose a character here and there' death it's gone thru for the past few years.

I wouldn't be surprised with them going that route.

Criminal Minds -- 2 Hour Finale -- "Brothers Hotchner/The Replicator" -- 5/22/13

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Synopsis:

Mark Hamill Guest Stars

Bellamy Young Returns as Hotch's Girlfriend, Beth Clemmons, and Eric Johnson Reprises His Role as Hotch's Brother, Sean

"Brothers Hotchner" and "The Replicator" - The Replicator zeroes in on the BAU when the killer targets one of the team as the next victim. Also, the BAU is called in to investigate a string of deaths in Manhattan tied to apparent ecstasy overdoses, and Hotch discovers that his estranged brother, Sean, is caught in the middle, on the two-hour eighth season finale of CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, May 22 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Episode 23/24 of 24

Supposedly someone tonight will be:

Spoiler:
Killed off.

Mantegna, Gibson, Cook, Moore, Vangsness all signed new 2-year contracts a few weeks ago, so it's not them.

Gubler signed a new 2-year contract before this season.

So that leaves Tripplehorn and Jayne Atkinson who plays Strauss as the likely candidates. I think Strauss bites it. She's listed as a guest star in both episodes.

Agreed. Also, I can't explain it, but this episode looked cheap to me - this show is definitely in decline.

IDK, I thought it was alright and it's never wrong casting Mark Hamill as a villain. However, I do wish they built up The Replicator during the season more than just a sideshow in other episodes.

Criminal Minds (CBS) -- Series Thread

CRIMINAL MINDS revolves around an elite team of FBI profilers who analyze the country's most twisted criminal minds, anticipating their next moves before they strike again. The Behavioral Analysis Unit's most experienced agent is David Rossi, a founding member of the BAU who returns to help the team solve new cases. The team is lead by Special Agent Aaron Hotchner, a strong profiler who is able to gain people's trust and unlock their secrets. Other members Special Agent Derek Morgan, an expert on obsessional crimes; Special Agent Dr. Spencer Reid, a classically misunderstood genius whose social IQ is as low as his intellectual IQ is high; Jennifer "J.J." Jareau, the team's confident unit liaison who was called to a top Pentagon job but returns to the BAU under mysterious circumstances; and Penelope Garcia, a computer wizard who helps research the cases. Each member brings his or her own area of expertise to the table as they pinpoint predators' motivations and identify their emotional triggers in the attempt to stop them.

Thread for anyone who wants to post about Criminal Minds.

Esai Morales joined the cast of Criminal Minds this season for those unaware and haven't watched their DVR recordings. He'll be the new BAU section chief.

re: Criminal Minds (Moving to Paramount +)

Bump,

For anyone who is caught up with Criminal Minds, tonight is episode #200

Paget Brewster (Prentiss) is returning tonight.

I've been behind all season, but got caught up 2 days ago. The last episode that aired, JJ got kidnapped.

I'm slowly warming up to Alex Blake. The episode that resonated with me was the one where she went home to see her father and brother.

re: Criminal Minds (Moving to Paramount +)

Episode #200 was pretty entertaining.

A.J. Cook was great in the episode. Kicked ass and she handled the torture scenes really well. It was also really cool that they used this episode to fill in the missing timeline when JJ went to work for the State Department. I enjoyed all the backstory.

Really great to see Prentiss again. She was pretty badass in that last sequence.

Minor nitpick, but that gunfight at the end was a little ridiculous. The BAU was fighting heavily armed military men with only pistols and they somehow managed to take them all out.

I am on the ION repeat plan as well. At first i didn't care for the show. Not a fan of watching developmentally disabled killers burn out hookers eyes with hydrochloric acid and then seeing the aftermath. over time the dynamic between the group and their personalities really won me over. i cannot put my finger on why , but i prefer this to CSI.

also a fan of paget brewster, and she must have access to dana dalaney's reverse aging benjamin button drugs. she looks better now than when she was on Huff, which is saying something. there also comes a moment in every young man's life when he realizes one of her juggs is bigger than a grown man's head, and his life is never the same.

No. Apparently the actor wanted it that way.
