Agree. Barba would have never done that.

Law and Order SVU forever
We take this show for granted because it's been on so long. 20 seasons and still going strong, with no chance of cancellation any time soon. As long as Mariska Hargitay wants to keep going, it will probably be on. It's still pretty good, at times as good and disturbing as the Stabler years, although not consistently. If Ice-T ever decides to leave they might have a problem, but I can forsee it still going even then.
Speaking of Law and Order, I've never seen the original series from beginning to end and there's nowhere you can stream them all. Does anyone know why? |
Re: Law and Order: SVU (NBC) -- Series Thread
I agree, this show is nothing if not consistent with the occasional WTF-episode or storyline 'ripped from the headlines'.
Personally I love the Stabler years when he seemed scarier than the criminals they encountered and you really never knew how far things would go before he finally written off. SVU has done a good job of keeping things fresh every few years rotating in some new faces with crazy backstories that are always good for some character development storylines. The current cast seems pretty stale at this point and I'm looking forward to moving on from gambling addict white trash Rollins and boring Carisi. Ice-T has been milking it for years and the show wouldn't lose much by fading him out the way they did with Belzer. I'd love to see them get 3 or 4 young rookies in there to mix things up soon. |
Re: Law and Order: SVU (NBC) -- Series Thread
Was this past episode good? I meant to record it due to the guest stars.

You can stream it with NBC's app. |
Re: Law and Order: SVU (NBC) -- Series Thread
Yeah this really is the most consistent show on TV. I thought it was done once Meloni left, but here we are.

Last SVU ep reminded me of the 911 Ep on Fox where the two brothers lived in the packed home.

Yep, it's passing the OG L&O this season and will pass Gunsmoke with the renewal. If only the kept the original, which was by far the best. I don't understand why people would rather watch a L&O show about sexual crimes compared to your every day, good old fashioned murder.

Looks like Philip Winchester won't be back next season:

I didn't know until about a year ago that Mariska Hargitay was the daughter of Jane Mansfield.
