Only two eps in but I'm loving this one. I think ABC has finally found a show to complement the all-American/working class vibe of The Middle (still going strong ) in that 8:30 slot.
"Why is silent Julio talking?!"
Nice twist with Terry working for Dick.

I know I'm in the minority but I prefer The Middle to Modern Family. We watch MF and enjoy it, but I like Middle better. Yes BITG seems to be a nice complement to Middle's humor.

"Play Hard or Go Home" - Terry attempts to find the Cannon a girlfriend in hopes that he will start being nicer to her and the Angles, but it backfires big time. Meanwhile, Danny goes on a mission to tell Vanessa about his feelings for her, on "Back in the Game," WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 9 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

So far, this show is enjoyable.
I just hope it doesn't end with the team suddenly finding their groove and competing for the league's championship.
It would be kind of refreshing to watch something about a rag-tag bunch of misfits who suck at a sport and continue to suck at it as the season progresses.

Another solid episode. Markie Post looked really good. She was on 30 Rock a couple of years ago and was looking rough. She's lost a lot of weight.

Yeah, another good one. Caan and Lawson have good familial chemistry. I liked the fakeout with the bar hag. And Terry screwing with Cannon by changing the TV setting was hilarious. Markie Post did look great--I really had the hots for her back in her Night Court days.

Always had a thing for Markie Post. She was hot but in a girl next door kind of way. The kind I prefer vs. the bombshell. For 63, I'd still hit it.

I just caught up with the series on Hulu+ and I liking this show very much.
I have been a fan of James Caan since he appeared in "Las Vegas" and he does play almost the same exact comic role as he did in that show except he's more vulgar in this one.
I don't remember watching anything with Maggie Lawson but man, she's a looker and is great in this role.
Hoping that this show last the season and gets renewed...

That sucks. I had assumed the next season of Psych would be the last. I wonder if this changes things.

Darn. I like Maggie Lawson.
I liked that the bullies were dressed as the Kobra Kai skeletons. Also liked noticing Sheldon's (TBBT) sister in something.

All the remaining episodes will still air. No reason to quit since this is a comedy.

Damn. Best new comedy this season. Unlike some shows that I enjoy but get canned before the season is over, I'm gonna continue watching the remaining episodes. Liked it that much.

I looked forward to this every week. Sorry to see it go. After this week I had decided that Trophy Wife wasn't getting any better so I was giving up on that just in time for them to be picked up for the full season. That's 0 for 2. Do like Goldbergs so I guess I'm 1 for 3

I'm only watching two new comedies shows this season, Back in the Game and Brooklyn 99, so it sucks that this show got cancelled. As much as I like to blame ABC, this show was not getting the ratings it deserved, therefore can't fault them for cancelling it. At least they are going to air all 13 episodes, which is great.
So Maggie Lawson is in Psych, I'll check that out on Netflix.

Wait, so this was good? Foolishly it seems I just assumed this was a stinker, because how could this premise support a series? Looks like I need to correct that mistake -- even if the show is going away.

In an ironic twist, this show was in USA today's write-up about the top 10 shows of the new season. After a glowing review the author then adds "of course that means it will be the first one cancelled". How right you were my friend.

Sucks that it won't return, but I don't know if this show could really work as a multi-season show. These kids are terrible at baseball and I really hope that at the end of the first season, they're still terrible at baseball.
Multiple seasons just increases the odds that these kids will develop into a championship caliber team, which they clearly are not.
