Question About Showtime's 'The Big C'

I feel that this show never got much conversation here, so I don't know if I'll get an answer but...

I never got to see the final season, which I believe was shortened to just four hour long episodes.

I've looked on Netflix, Amazon VOD, Showtime repeats, and can't find anywhere to watch or buy the final season. I don't even see it being set for release on DVD, and even TVshowsonDVD.com is showing nothing for the final season.

Does anyone know of another way to watch the final season? Will it ever get released? Is it just sort of...gone forever?

It's on On Demand until October 1st and on Showtime Anytime until May 27th, 2014.

It's available on iTunes for a ridiculous price ($3.49 per 30 minutes, $25/season) here, tho it was a 30 minute show so I guess 8 x 30 minutes makes sense:

iTunes is currently the only service offering the show. It just finished airing so it won't be on blu/dvd for a little wihle. Season 3 was just released in June of this year.

I would imagine it will be released at some point. Is there a Showtime version of HBOGo? Or do you have any friends or family who would let you drop in to watch the final four episodes?

I thought it was a pretty good ending.

Yes, showtimeanytime.com is their version of HBOGo. It's free with a paid subscription.

They did a good job with the ending. Not gonna lie, totally cried several times the last few hours. Like full on shot-bubbles if you have ever had a family member with cancer.
