This show lost me at the laugh track.

There's absolutely no excuse or reason for a laugh track since 2003.

It's not great, but Dennings and Behrs make it worth tuning in for.

I'm not sure if you know or not, but Chuck's been moved to Friday nights so it won't be up against this.

You know I barely notice laugh tracks anymore. They're like background noise to me.

I will say that having seen Denning in Thor, she seemed much smaller than I would have ever thought. However, on this thing, she seems almost fat! I know that isn't the case. So I wonder how skinny the blond girl is in real life.

The thing about the laugh track is that if the show sucks you can't help but be annoyed by it. But with good shows like How I Met Your Mother the laugh track is hardly noticeable.

Wait, HIMYM has a laugh track? I would have to agree with your statement as I can't recall hearing one ever.

If it is to be used then I definitely prefer live over canned. The laugh track of the Brady Brunch era was a dreadful thing.

Re: 2 Broke Girls -- "And the Break-up Scene" -- 9/26/11

This show is losing me. It was a combination of the horse and the laugh track. The horse just seems like a gimmick they make fun of on The Simpsons or Family Guy and makes no sense what so ever. These broke girls manage to feed and care for a prize show horse?

Although the thought of Kat Dennings masturbating and taking it in the backdoor kind of redeems the whole thing.

No, I hadn't heard/remembered that. Kind of takes away from the allure of Chuck, but since this will be the end, not really that big of a deal. That's what DVR is for.

Thanks for the info.

I thought the pilot had promise, but this one was terrible. My time is limited, so yeah, I'm out...

It could just be my perception like you're saying but I really think the HIMYM laugh track is more subdued than the 2 Broke Girls one.

I like Kat Dennings, but this is just not good. I think I've been spoiled by the single camera sitcoms I watch.

The night light line got me, too, but that was about it. I thought this was a big step down from the pilot, which I thought showed promise. I'll give it another couple of episodes because I record HIMYM already.

I kind of like this show. I like Max's sassiness. Not surprised that so many here are hating it though.

Did they really let "puta" slide through the filter?

I don't mind the show. I like the two leads but its kinda at a "if i catch it i catch it" status for me right now.

I'd stroke my goodwill all over Kat Dennings' face.

It'd be a huge improvement. She looks like a fucking cartoon fish from Spongebob Squarepants. The rack is indeed quite nice, though.

Re: 2 Broke Girls -- "And Strokes of Goodwill" -- 10/03/11

I love Kat and her costar is holding up well against her. I just don't like the supporting cast (especially "generic Asian dude").

As for letting "puta" slide, that's hardly a big deal. The word just means whore and is usually used to mean bitch. They used bitch a lot this episode so "puta" shouldn't have raised any eyebrows.

Re: 2 Broke Girls -- "And Strokes of Goodwill" -- 10/03/11

The Goodwill part was hilarious....her $800 shoes discounted to $8, so she was discounted...

The premiere was good, last week was eh.., yesterday was good. I hope it keeps up. I agree with DJariya, I like the sassiness too.
