Wow, incredibly bad episode. It's sad to know that this show is FX's most successful show.

I thought it was good. I don't know what more you'd want out of Sons of Anarchy than kidnapping the mother of a mass shooter then smothering her after giving her smack, also Donal Logue making people uncomfortable. Except for the Ireland season I've generally enjoyed this series more and more, even though someone on this board ruined Opie's death for me in a random thread.

I don't think it was a bad episode, I think it was just lackluster after the premier. It felt more like just filler to get to the meat of the story. We saw Bobby gaining support for the return of the NOMADS, the shooting was covered in SAMCRO's eyes but it's too late as they're already targeted and Tara continued to have no clue to what she wants. All major stories in the overall picture.

This show is ridiculous. But oh so enjoyable.

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "One One Six" -- 9/17/13

This episode was flat to me. Last week was crazy and ended with the shooting, but this totally missed the mark as a follow up.

For such a devastating tragedy, there was zero emotional follow through.

Jax is all talk about turning the MC legit, yet he ok's Juice murdering Arcadio's GF thinking she may rat them out for the weapon used in the shooting. But, I guess he's justifying that as "tying up loose ends" in a way. I don't see how that chick would rat them out. She's a fucking junkie. Also, how would that kid get the weapon unless Arcadio brought it home.

Also, there was absolutely no reason for Nero to kill Arcadio. And then he feels remorse afterwards saying that Arcadio betrayed him?

Who wants to bet that Toric either ends up in jail or killed by the MC for his actions by the end of the season?

Tara's erratic behavior confuses. She wants out of the MC life, changes her mind, then marries Jax, then goes to jail, now wants out again, and is putting Wendy as a potential guardian for the kids and now is putting on an "act" for Jax.

Maybe that's why Tara wants out again. Because 9 times out of 10, Jax is full of shit.

Nice that Sutter hired another The Shield alumnus CCH Pounder to be the DA.

CCH Pounder's wig is horrible. It makes her look like a man in drag, like if a sitcom character had two minutes to throw a disguise together.

I'm just not buying in on this season. It isn't nearly incomprehensible like Ireland was, but I just don't give a shit about any of these people any more. Bobby and Chibbs are the only characters not completely ruined by now. Even Nero is mostly down the shitter.

SoA has entered Californication category for me. It is background fodder until (if) it gets interesting again.

Breaking Bad has ruined every other show on TV for me. I used to like this show, and Dexter.

Seems like this show is just going through the motions to drag it out for the final two seasons. I'll more than likely stick with it unless it gets "Irish" bad again. But all of it so far this season feels like nothing but rehashes of previous stories and with very little added to keep it fresh.

Although I still enjoy the show, the show has become pretty repetitive.

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "One One Six" -- 9/17/13

i like the stuff with Bobby

"dear diary, today i met a great guy. i wonder if he will come to my clubhouse. i think we will call it the he man woman haters club. ps no girls allowed"

was it ever resolved how they can wear their cuts in public? i thought that was a big part of last season or the one before, having to wear them under hoodies.

i completely buy that an ATF would call it a clip instead of a magazine.

i think this "highest rated premiere" thing will last just about until Justified comes back.

Justified may be a better written and acted show, but it has nowhere near the ratings of Sons of Anarchy.

It's funny how Sons of Anarchy is one of the most watched & popular shows on basic cable next to The Walking Dead, yet it's also one of the most nit picked shows here.

Yeah it felt like filler. Nothing really mind blowing and once again we see Jax is a piece of shit.

For anyone interested in seeing Charlie Hunnam's (Jax) first role as a teen in the UK, Netflix has the BBC series of "Queer as Folk" streaming. Pure comedy gold. Barely recognize him.

Jesus Christ!, this show's turned to shit. It kinda always was, but at least it was fun shit, now it's just tedious.
