Full trailer. Looks like World War Z: The Series.

Re: AMC Developing The Walking Dead Spin-Off - FEAR THE WALKING DEAD

I like how this seems to start with the outbreak rather than jumping a few weeks after like 28 Days Later & The Walking Dead did with the main being in a coma for a bit but somehow surviving when their entire hospitals got wiped out.

I can't say any of the actors or characters really seem to stand out in this spin-off so here's hoping we get at least one re-memorable character to join the cast at some point to keep things interesting.

Yeah, I hope we get at least 2 or 3 episodes that take place during the initial outbreak. I think the initial crumbling of society is as interesting as what comes after.

Maybe Jesus is going to show up in this series instead of Walking Dead proper.

I think Daryl has taken his place.

Really not excited about this. It's like Walking Dead B cast.

I think AMC is mostly using this series as leverage in case the original series becomes too expensive once primary actors like Andrew Lincoln are finished with their initial contracts.

Re: AMC Developing The Walking Dead Spin-Off - FEAR THE WALKING DEAD

From a creators point, they assumed viewers of TWD at some point wanted to know where this all started ...

Greg Nicotero says in this article that season 2 will start filming around November or December and will be a 15 episode order.

Agreed. Watching the transition from normalcy to apocalypse is fascinating to me. Part of the former world is in each person that survives, but they obviously become a new person once the threshold has been crossed.
