Like I said earlier. I cant understand how some people interpret things. Suicide by Jesse? Really? If Walt wanted to die, he couldve spit in one of the Nazis faces and told them to go F their mothers. Boom, he's dead.

I was feeling physically ill watching the slo-mo of them dragging the two bodies and dumping them into the ditch where the money was, and seeing the nazis load all of Walt's money barrels of money into their truck. Just a sick feeling seeing the turn go down.

I read something interesting about the pants Walt passes by in the desert. Other posters in this thread have already mentioned that it was from the first episode. What was interesting though was that it is also why the episode was titled, "Ozymandias".

Ozymandias was a poem written by Percy Shelley about a traveller who encounters a monument while traveling through a desert. The monument was once a giant statue, but all that remains are the legs. The inscription describes a might king, Ozymandias - the king of kings who once ruled over all and struck terror into the hearts of his enemies.

Obviously Walter is King Ozymandias, as made clear by the promo video where the poem is recited. The pants are the remaining legs of the statue. They are what remain of what was once a mighty and feared man. And a reminder that everyone, no matter how powerful, always falls.

Absolutely ridiculous. Walt wanted Jesse dead. It's that simple. That whole mess was all Jesse's fault. Walt does NOT want to die. Why would he go into hiding? You think he hopes Jesse will somehow track him down and kill him?

Just rewatched the episode and even though I understand Walt admitting to everything while he was on the phone with Skylar, why would he go as far as to admit to killing Hank??

Walt's going to die anyway you cut it. Cancer is going to eat away at him. Re-read my statements. I never said Jesse would have to hunt him. Walt has to get the out of town now because of what happened. We already have been shown that he comes back.

Relax man, we are just throwing ideas out about a TV show. This isn't the religion threads. I won't lose any sleep if my idea doesn't come to fruition.

Total red herring, IMO. As I've been catching up and reading through old threads, I kept wanting to reply on this. It seemed pretty clear to me that the White house had been abandoned and become a party house for local kids who, knowing the infamous Heisenberg had lived there, graffiti'ed it up.

I kept wanting to bump an old thread and post this every time someone speculated about it, but I figured if I did, someone would reply and say "Dude, haven't you watched episode 5 yet? They make it pretty clear that Huell did the graffiti after killing Saul" and I would be totally spoilered.

I still don't get the fence. To me, that indicated some sort of legal seizure. If the house were paid for through illegal proceeds, (even one mortgage payment), it would be subject to seizure under RICO or some other drug law. The fence indicates it's now a federal asset, pending public auction. Sure, slackers got inside, vandalized it, and turned it into a crash pad.

I guess the neighbor's reaction to seeing WW could be ascribed to the shock of knowing about the amber alert, and probably a very public APB regarding a suspected drug fugitive responsible for murder, manufacture & distribution of a Schedule II substance under the Controlled Substances Act.

Walt is fucked no matter what happens, and by him admitting to killing Hank - it further solidifies the "proof" that Skylar was fearful of Walt the whole time and makes her look even more like an unwilling participant in the whole scheme. Walt was doing everything possible to ensure Skylar and family are protected.

Not just murder. Multiple murders, including murder of law enforcement officers and murder by setting off an explosive in a nursing home. Walt's story would very quickly be all over the news, and there would be a massive manhunt by not just the DEA, but also the ATF and FBI.

With Carol seeing Walt at the house my guess is she calls the police and some random cop ends up killing him as they will want to get him considering Walt is an admitted cop killer.

Doubtful, but kind of funny.

Love how some think that letting Jane die was the most evil thing Walt did. Wasn't he protecting Jesse from himself? Jessie most likely would have overdosed eventually with Jane.

I just feel bad for Jesse. He could have disappeared. But instead he's probably a dead man.

And Hank was stupid for not taking things slower with Walt, and telling enough people about his suspicions.

Walt didn't admit to killing Hank. He didn't even specifically say he was dead, just that you'll never see him again. Of course he meant because he is dead, but he didn't say that. Or maybe he wanted them to think he skipped town with a floozy. But I'm pretty sure it's the former.

I think Walt's phone call to Skyler gave her the go-ahead to pin everything on him. Hell, even make up a few things. It protects his family from liability/prosecution for any of the crimes discovered and he's probably dead from cancer in a year regardless. So why not? And Saul will be right there with her.

I don't feel bad for him, but this is a good point: The van was right there, ready to take him away to a new identity and a new life someplace else. But his desire for vengeance was his downfall, something that would likely cross his mind as he cooking on that dog-run leash thing.

I feel bad for Jesse, because ultimately isn't a bad guy. He was trying to do the right thing, but it completely backfired. He didn't have an ulterior motive, unlike Walt.

As much as I enjoy this show, I think many people gloss over the fact that Walt and Jesse didn't have to make meth in the first place. They basically dug their own graves and everything else is a direct result. Neither really deserve any sympathy.

I'm also dense and didn't quite grasp that Walt was protecting his family with his phone call. I thought the tears were from him being torn between his own ego and his feelings about them. But him protecting them makes so much more sense that I'm not sure why I missed it the first time. A helluva scene either way.
