I'll probably drop Once Upon A Time.

Re: What shows from previous years are you dumping in 2013?

With the end of Futurama this week, trimmed the following from my Season Passes:

Louie (I'm assuming this moves to FXX in 2014, so it's an outdated pass)
Modern Family
Raising Hope
The Soup

Top Chef, White Collar (didn't really care for last season's arc and execution) and Elementary are bubble shows. I'll give them a chance when new episodes begin, but looking at my SPs these are getting a 'meh' from me.

I'm probably going to dump The Following and maybe Once Upon a Time. I didn't like OUaT last season but for some reason I'm looking forward to it. So not sure. I guess I think of the idea and it's interesting but then when watching an episode it doesn't hold my interest enough.

On the fence about Grimm too.

Modern Family.

And I hate to say it but every few weeks I try to start back up with the last six or so episodes of White Collar, but I just turn it off. I think I am done with the show. It was good while it lasted for me but has become too redundant.

I also gave up on 2 Broke Girls early in the spring session so I am over that one as well.

Also just saw Nurse Jackie mentioned and I forgot about that one - another one that I am dumping. Nothing happens on this show. Nothing.

I'm done with Suits. Watched from the beginning but by 3-4 in this season I stopped and deleted the season pass. It just annoyed me and I ended up not liking anything about the show any more.

I hear you. As much as that last scene pissed me off, I liked the show enough to return for season 2.

The other one on the bubble was Glee, but I decided to at least tune into the season premiere given Corey's death.

Interesting. I kind of sleptwalk through Castle last year and figured it was me, but maybe the writing has taken a dip. I don't think it's a Moonlighting-post-hookup thing since I still like the character chemistry, but the cases just didn't grab me.

How could anyone actually dump "The Following" after watching the first season??

I don't watch many current shows. I did catch each episode of The Following and Bates Motel last season, but I'm not real motivated to tune in this time around.

Did you read the comments from most of the threads? I would say more than half the comments were people bitching about how stupid the FBI was. There was one poster named 4shooter or something like that who only posted in The Following threads to make fun of it. He doesn't post in anything else.

I was entertained by it despite how silly it got. I'll definitely be back in 2014 for season 2.

And really? Some of you didn't like Bates Motel? Vera and Freddie were fantastic. One of the biggest surprises this past season.

REVOLUTION is history. It should have been dropped long ago.

ONCE UPON A TIME has four episodes to convince me it still needs to be watched. I'm not optimistic.

Could you say why? I only ask because I just started watching Suits this season and I really like it. How has it gotten worse?

I dumped it 4 episodes in. If FBI agents are really as incompetent as portrayed on this show I might become a career criminal.

I didn't even last through the first season. Once Joe escaped and had that mansion filled with "followers", I was out.

I like it too. It's become much more serialized than it was in the first 2 seasons. Before it was a pretty standard, light USA procedural. Season 3 is pretty much about the Ava case and the merger. Also characters and back stories are more fleshed out.

I think he doesn't like the new direction of the show.

Once Upon A Time. The story is getting more and more convoluted and the writing wasn't as sharp in its second season.

It started off primarily as a show about really smart guy who didn't go to law school and his mentor. That was the cool hook for me. Without giving any spoilers since I'm not sure if you're going to go back and watch earlier seasons, once too many people, especially a certain person, knew about his little secret, the show started to go downhill. Plus now there are just so many characters, and very little's made of Mike's intelligence, and I absolutely hated the boss. Did like Louis, however... In the end, the annoyances grossly outweighed the things I enjoyed about it, and there are enough really good shows on (Breaking Bad, The Bridge, Homeland) where it was a relief to end Suits.

there are now simply too many characters that I don't like on the show. They ruined Mike's character and continue to make Rachel insufferable. It is becoming a chore to watch the show for the few moments where it is good and the rest of it is hard for me to watch since I hate what they did to the characters.

Re: What shows from previous years are you dumping in 2013?

This year is actually a fresh start in a lot of ways for me. My two favorite shows Breaking Bad and Dexter (I know it's not as good as it once was but whatever) are ending. So in a lot of ways this year I'm actually kind of looking for new stuff to watch. The Michael J. Fox Show I'm checking out for sure and I'll continue watching The Simpsons. I really should try and catch up with Boardwalk Empire as I've never gotten past the first season. The same can be said for Burn Notice I loved the show for the first four seasons or so but for some reason wasn't feeling season five so dropped it but I've heard it's gotten better again so I might go back to it. I'm also kind of thinking about trying out Bate's Motel.

I really enjoyed Bates Motel, it reminds me a lot of Twin Peaks, but it seems like it is skipping too quickly from the good, early episodes to the latter day Nadine-gets-super-strength quality episodes. I can see that they aren't going to go down the road of
Spoiler:
Norman murdering innocent women
, so it just seems silly to call the character Norman Bates, since they are going to make him a completely different person. Why not make a show about a young Captain Ahab who never sets foot on a boot or has a grudge with a whale?

I started watching camp from fox. I know it started in 2013 but it was crappy and I ended up dropping it and not watching it ever again.

Excellent pilot, shitty Season.

Given its renewal (and time) I hope they fix the show and make it watchable. My wife liked it, but when she comments how dumb the FBI can be, I know others are seeing the flaws.
