That's a possibility too. But that plot point wasn't mentioned in passing. Walt did everything to bail, before he found out that Skyler already gave the money to Ted.
Still the best ten minutes of the series. I felt very frantic while watching that part. Good stuff.

I don't think it's going that route or at least if it does it won't be totally selfless. He might do something that he knows could get him killled but probably only after he causes something to happen to someone close to him.

No. But I'm sure they'd be happy to find out. Walt is small fries compared to Lydia's operation.
With Walt preparing for a "showdown"... Maybe it's against the international people. Maybe it's Todd and his guys. Maybe it's with the DEA. Maybe he's just going to the shooting range.
I still like the idea of the international cartel coming in and squashing everyone like they are nothing. Walter is an egomaniac, and it'd be cathartic to see him treated like a dog.
Anyways, some shit is going down real soon.
And it's probably called "confessions", because I expect most of the episode to revolved around Jesse's interrogation.

To me the way it seems the show is going is a showdown between Walt and Lydia's new team. I still think the idea of him being forced to cook at his home and faking his death makes the most sense and he comes back for revenge after.

Can someone tell me what just happened? What did he notice about the cigarette pack that made him ditch?
Also, there was no way Jesse wouldn't be a part of the show until the very end, that was predictable.
