Seems like same scroll. Sure as hell doesn't look like he lived long after the library sank in the sand. Similar scroll resting on the book to his right.

It warned Aang pretty explicitly, I figured that when other humans got there, it wouldn't end well for them. Although if that's the case, it doesn't make much sense why he'd trust Unalaq.

Unalaq seems to influence the spirits as much as Korra does. I'm guessing it's through some means or knowledge he attained from Vaatu.

At what point did Bei Fong have a goddamn lobotomy? Bolin has always been an idiot, but she just put two guards on duty who're so incompetent, Dr. Evil wouldn't use them. And using the amnesia plot to move the love triangle? Lame. Why does this show seem to faltering every time it goes outside of the spirit world this season?

Other than Bei Fong's stupidity, this was actually an excellent hour. And I'm glad those two asshats finally got fired. Unfortunately the President is also a dumbass. I would have accepted if he doubted Korra after the stunt Varick pulled. But deciding to keep his troops at home while someone carries out an attack that will destroy the world? What does he think will be left to defend?
Those gripes aside, I had a great time with these two episodes and look forward to the season finale.

Season two had a really rocky start, and the middle faltered, but the final third has finally been paying off. Hopefully the finale will be as good as the last few episodes have been, this two-parter was really good, some knockout action sequences (Looks from what I could see of the credits flying by at Mach 3 that this episode was outsourced, the storyboard guys didn't look like any of the usual suspects, seriously Nick, could you make the credits fly by any faster?! At least put them up on the website or something, I'd like to actually read them! I had no idea that was Aubrey Plaza.), and mostly solid human drama. Even Bumi finally got something to do. Loved seeing Mako and Bolin throw down, when they finally stop the BS, you see the value they have to Team Avatar when they actually do something. Good stuff all around, although why Bei Fong didn't go in with them to actually thrown down is a mystery, hopefully she'll get to do something that's actually useful in the finale. Hopefully they'll take all of this potential and set up for a good third season.

Now that you bring up AUbrey Plaza, why are the twins still so loyal to Unalaq? When they were in the spirit world, the boy got severely injured and the girl took him to be healed despite her father flat out telling her to ignore her injured brother. You'd think the twins would be pissed. Aubrey Plaza's character did show a hint of reluctance but it was odd that she even questioned her father as to what he was up to when she already knew. It was just odd.

Her brother was obviously deluding himself too, it's possible that they might help Team Avatar out next week after realizing how nuts Unalaq is.

I've really enjoyed the last few episodes, including this one.
One nitpick I have, though, is why aren't Team Avatar employing help from some other master benders? Mako and Bolin are good, but surely there must be some masters/teachers out there who would quickly volunteer to help the Avatar save the world. I know from a storytelling perspective it makes things feel more exciting to keep the heroes limited in numbers, but it seems obvious that they should try to enlist aid beyond just asking (and getting turned down by) the authorities of Republic City.

Um, that was trippy and wild. Why the hell did they sever the link to the past lives? They broke up Mako and Korra?! Certainly an eventul finale to lead into the next season, whenever that premieres. A little deus ex machina in execution, but lots of cool animation and certainly action-packed.

Despite the over reliance on Deus Ex Machina, I had fun with this episode. It was amusing when Unalaq Kaiju took on Korra Jaeger. Would liked to see them actually thrash republic city.
Anyone else think that Tenzin was kind of a dick for leaving all those people in the spirit prison?
I'm okay with Korra and Mako breaking up, as long as they never get back together. I was more let down by Bolin and Eska breaking up again?
Anyhoo, despite being pretty much a clusterfuck for the most part, the season ended strong and I look forward to season 3.

Can't wait for those human hating spirits to come on over and fuck with people. Just wait till that spirit mist just invades Republic City.
It started off really bad, but in the end, it did a better job than season 1 in actually making me want to see what happens next season.
