Yeah, I'm also really enjoying this show so far. Seems like it's not getting much love here though. I wonder how it's doing in the ratings?

What luck that guy has.... no strings attached sex with Helen of Troy.
His bewilderment was priceless.

Ain't so bad being a chick, particularly an attractive one, with Asburgers. It reminded me of Carrie in Homeland in one of the first few episodes.
That's certainly one way to border the line.

Family Guy and The Big Bang Theory repeats were the most watched cable shows last night.
Was trying to watch this last night, but fell asleep on the couch. It was 1:30am and I was exhausted after a long day at work. Will finish it later tonight.

I'll speak for the unwashed masses tuning this show out. I like Diane Kruger in most roles but I have no interest in watching her for 13 episodes as a semi-functioning autistic woman. I thought the bar scene was ridiculous and mostly inserted to satisfy the audience's demand to see Kruger in a love scene.
The only character I have liked so far is Marco the Mexican detective.

Faster!! That was one of the most awkward sex scenes I've ever seen.
The dude was Jason Wiles, who played Bosco on Third Watch and that summer series Persons Unknown.
Marco was a badass. Loved when he took out that pimp.
I liked how all the plots worked together, even the illegals.
That final strangulation scene was pretty brutal.

I mildly enjoyed the first episode, but I don't know if I'll be tuning in next week. It helps that there's nothing of substance airing right now, but I wasn't feeling anything in this one. There's a hell of a lot going on at one time, and although I can appreciate that everything ties together in some way, it just felt very bloated and drawn out. I found myself bored halfway through and that whole bar/sex scene felt out of place.
It's not a terrible show, but it's certainly not one of the best. Its passable summer fare.

I'm highly ambivalent about the show. It goes to great lengths to establish a grimy "realism", and then you have "the alien". Kruger's character is written like the alien in any number of SF shows ("Data" in "Star Trek TNG" for example), -the outsider who's oddball characteristics are used to punch up the drama and provide occasional comic relief. In this situation, it just seems like a gimmick and not the least bit organic or believable.

Aside from being a regular on "To Have & To Hold" (1998), "Third Watch" (1999-2005), and "Persons Unknown" (2010) - Jason Wiles been basically doing single shot appearances on various shows since being Colin - Valerie's friend from Buffalo - on 90210 (1995-1996). So thats why you probably missed him.
The executive producer of this show - Meredith Stiehm - began her writing career on 92010 - (credit for that goes to this weeks issue of Entertainment Weekly) so thats probably why he got the gig. Unfortunately - according to "The Bridge" IMDB page - this will be his only appearance. (Too bad we already seen the killer - would have been a nice twist if "Paul" turned out to be the one doing the killings.)

We have not already seen the killer - pork chop sideburns guy very well could be the killer, but they've gone to great lengths to make it ambiguous. He's never seen doing anything directly. Burning clothes is burning clothes. We don't see a killing or a body.

It's interesting enough. I like most of the show so far. I agree with almost everyone about Diane Krueger, I've read about the character and I'm trying really hard with her, but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
I think I can still watch the show even if I end up hating her.

I figured she was in need of a sex power up, when she stuck her hand down her pants earlier. nice to see Bosco from third watch deliver the penis that adds +10 to her crime solving roll.
i think we saw in previews from pilot that the non water drinking chick from desert will be staked out in sun for some reason.
trying to figure out what Wolverine's angle is, probably same misunderstanding that befell pastor Mike on the Killing.
shitty that the killer took out the illegals. he really doesn't discriminate.

I really like Demian's character but man, Sonya is one of the most unlikable things I've seen on FX since some of the later days of Nip/Tuck. I'm not sure if I can stick with this one.

This last week's episode was much better than the one before it. It feels like the show is finally getting some traction and going somewhere.
