Treehouse Masters on Animal Planet

Has anyone watched this show?

I don't typically like reality style shows, but something about this really caught my eye.

The format is they get hired at the start of the episode to create a custom tree house. Pete Nelson goes out with crew and start to create their vision and then build the tree house.

Half-way through the episode, he gets a 'phone call' on the job of another tree house that needs some help.

I think what I really enjoy about it is the Peter Nelson, he really loves trees and tree houses and he is pretty funny.

I've watched a few. Problem with shows like this is they would greatly benefit from a 30 minute format. The show is heavily padded.

That being said, it's fun. Pete is a genuinely nice guy that loves his job.

Re: Treehouse Masters on Animal Planet

I don't watch reality shows either with rare exception. Only ones I watch are Tanked and Fish Tank Kings...because I like aquariums. I saw promos for this during Tanked and have watched a few. I think it's pretty cool.. Peter Nelson is a likeable guy. I hate the staged-ness of these types of shows though. Like you said he just happens to get a phone call from someone in the area he's working the job that needs help with their tree house, and they insult us with trying to act like it's not set up. Same thing on reality shows when there just happens to be a camera on someone in a different location when a phone call comes in and they act like it's not planned.

I always felt it was pretty obvious that it was a set up. I still enjoy those little get aways though, and I'm guessing he does as well. Always like to look at different themed houses
