Why is everyone in love with Allison Pill?

Allison is a dynamic, talented, good-looking young actress, to be sure.
All credibility lost here. She is anything but good-looking regardless of the hair IMO. Looks like a skull with skin and hair. So plain.

I heard a quote from an interview he did talking about how weird it will be going back and forth form playing someone like Will to someone like Harry.

I think he'll be fine!

One is a blabbering idiot with little to no social skills, and the other is Harry.

See post 8. Even though she's only a recurring guest star, now that is a damn good looking woman. Alison is so mousy.

I've actually always thought she was quite attractive, not your typical Hollywood beauty looks, but hot just the same. But she looked VERY different to me in this episode. I'm not talking about the funky hair scenes, even when she looked like her character from last season, there was something about her face that looked very different to me. I even mentioned it to my wife because it seemed really dramatic, but I couldn't quite really explain "how" she looked different.

2.2 mil for the premiere. not bad for the 10 pm slot on HBO, which usually has its shows drop far from its 9pm lead in

To me, she has a quality that I have to admit I find pretty intriguing. Maybe it was her character in Goon, but there's something off-beat HOT about her.

I think she looks like a baby. Not a baby-face. She looks like a baby's head put on to a teenager's body.

edit: Although most babies are cute, so probably not.

And then there's this: ‘The Newsroom’ vs. ‘Honey Boo Boo’: Which one really gives us more to think about?.

And yeah, put me in the "Alison Pill is NOT attractive" camp. I don't know if I agree with the "baby's head on a teenager's body" analogy, but I can see where RUSE18 was coming from.

Good first episode. Best thing about it was it made me pull out some Van Morrison music. I hadn't heard Into the Mystic in a while. Great song.

Just watched this one. Not sure why, but I found this entire episode a mess and extremely hard to follow. I'm surprised so many people liked it here. On to episode two...

well, I've had the entire season on DVR (6 episodes) and finally got around to watching the premiere yesterday.

I was totally bored and fell asleep once, had to restart and never really could get into it. I'll give it a few more episodes, but this show just isn't very good.

I enjoyed the first season for the most part. I can't imagine how bad the original season premiere was before they scrapped it and tried again.

In my opinion, this season is very uneven. The next two episodes are a lot like this one. Episode four is a breath of fresh air. Five is a mess again. Then six is the best so far. So if you like the Newsroom, stick with it, but know you've got a bit to trudge through.

This show can't possibly have any true conservatives on staff who have a voice.
