Glee star Cory Monteith was found dead at Vancouver's Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel Saturday, The Hollywood Reporter has comfirmed. He was 31.
In March, Monteith voluntarily checked himself into rehab for substance abuse. He previously checked into rehab when was 19.
Monteith has played Finn on Glee since it debuted in 2009. He also has a role in the upcoming indie All the Wrong Reasons. More to come.

I figured this had to be a hoax. I guess not. I knew he recently went to rehab, but this is quite a shock nonetheless. RIP.

Wow, I'm stunned. Lea Michele, his real life girlfriend, must be devastated.

I know he was struggling with abuse issues so that makes this even more sadder.

I didn't realize he had been having substance abuse problems. Really a sad way to go. I'd forgot he and Lea Michelle were a real life couple. It will be interesting to see how the show handles this.

I know it's extremely premature and I'm sure the cast and crew of the show is devastated right now. But I really can't imagine how the show writes this in.

Really sad to hear about this, even though I don't watch Glee, he was only 6 years my senior. Losing Gandolfini was bad enough

He and several other members of the cast were just on MasterChef a few weeks ago for one of their challenges, and he actually cast the final vote for one of the cooking teams. Too bad, and yet another reminder of how drugs can rip everything away from you and everyone around you way too soon.

I only saw Glee a couple times but he seemed like a nice guy. Always sad to hear someone lose their life so early.

Sad news. The show may have gone downhill, but not his fault...he was always pretty good in it.
