“Me and Kevin have been chuckling about that one, we only heard about it the other day,” Moore said.
One would think that a writer of his caliber would know elementary school grammar.

His grammar aside, Moore does have a great point. It's sad that Hollywood would rather give something that has already failed another try as opposed to taking a shot at something original.
I also agree with Moore's belief that a comic is a comic and a movie is a movie. I thought the Watchmen movie was a pretty good adaptation, but to get the full effect of that story one needs to read the comic. So much detail of the story cannot be captured in the motion picture medium.

If you listen very carefully, you can hear Alan Moore banging his head against the wall.
"I don't know if you know about pilots. The way in which our country chooses television is that they produce one episode-one-and then they show that episode to a roomful of monkeys. And if the monkey don't shit themselves, you might have a hit!"

I don't know, I could see this property being the grounds for a very successful tv show. The concept lends itself to adaptation and is open-ended, meaning it could run for several seasons without fear of running into a dead end.
