Howard's technically correct. They're not approving of it, but they're allowing it for the ratings. And at this point, they also want to see Aaryn get it from society when she walks out the door, along with GM. But they don't need to do anything to her she's not already doing to herself on the feeds. The fact that she's been fired is just icing on the cake to tonight's epic meltdown.

As for Jeremy, like I've seen others say, for some reason, they give misogyny by the guys some sort of pass. They know the footage is out there, that may be enough to follow him around as well.

Howard understands, I think, that he's at the mercy of the producers, -he hasn't been able to see how the situation has been portrayed. If you had been watching only the CBS show, -even "After Dark", -then this "Racist" angle was only acknowledged by the show less than a week ago. If he were to get verbally aggressive (Candice wanted to get up in Aaryn's face over the bed-tossing incident and Howard talked her down), Howard knows he has no control over how the incident would play out over the air, -as far as he knows he could be shown to be the "Angry Black Man" who just blows up over the least little thing.

I have to wonder if Julie's coy remarks to Aaryn last night served as any sort of hint to the houseguests.

Props to Howard to keeping his cool. Aaryn and GM are horrible people

So what was Howard and Jeremy's voting trick? I was kind of surprised that Howard voted the way he did, and was wondering if he was out of the loop, but he certainly seemed like he was on Candice's side against the mean girls, so it doesn't seem like he's that closely aligned with the Jeremy side.

I was also really surprised that Jeremy was so subdued... I thought for sure he was going to make a much bigger scene, assuming he was kept out of the loop as well.

It doesn't seem like it matters that much which side won HoH... if Aaryn's side won it, all it would have done would be to remove a vote from their side, since presumably they have no chance of winning the MVP.

After watching that clip, I think something needs to be done NOW. Aryan and GM need to be evicted from the house. Someone is going to get hurt, and Howard is looking pained. No one should have to go through this.

They need to be OUT of that house. And I want to see their faces when they find out they have no jobs and the hate of the country to come home to.

What's weird is that GM came in to talk to Howard and Candice later and say she had no problem with her.

Did BBAD go to a different camera when that was going on, or did I fall asleep for a while or something? I saw the bed flipped over, and then Howard and Candice talking outside, but not that clip.

Best season ever

This show truly feels like a social experiment now

I'm sure they've considered at least booting Aaryn, but I wonder if they feel like there's no good option. How would they explain kicking her out for being a racist? She's horrible, but doesn't she have the right to be horrible and have us see that? Also, I wonder if they feel like they'd be criticized for "trying to sweep and important topic in our society under the rug" if they evicted Aaryn rather than let her continue to show herself to be what she is.

I somehow missed that clip Aaryn talking ghetto to her. I only heard Candice talking about it. Watching it makes me feel sick to my stomach. One the one hand, I wouldn't mind them evicting her at this point (her safety from others and emotionally with what she's in for is a huge factor too), but on the other hand, I almost want Aaryn to keep doing these things and show even more of the ugly person that she is.

She was picking on Jessie for Julie's comment about Jessie seeming to be the odd girl out for showmances and she had no idea that the most telling exchange was when Julie asked Aaryn something and she replied that people would get to see for themselves who she was and Julie really paused and spoke very slowly, "Yes, they will." Or something like that.

Helen's nominees:

Spoiler:
Aaryn & Kaitlin

Elissa got the MVP again, and Helen, McCrae and Amanda were pushing her to put up Howard, but she got cold feet and nominated Spencer. McCrae and Amanda are furious because they feel Elissa owes them and McCrae wants to go home. Helen, of course, is hoping that the POV competition creates a situation where Jeremy can be "back-doored".

Added: I can't find the exact time or quote, but apparently Helen has said that "Production" told her not to nominate Howard.

Yeah, I really hope Aryan and GM stick around for a while longer.

I want to see how deep of a hole they manage to dig for themselves.

Yeah, I saw it all. Helen, Elissa, McCrae and Amanda basically agreed to put up Howard with the MVP nomination. Then Elissa went to the DR for a long time. When she got out, she tried to convince them that she wasn't the MVP winner, after she had already told them she had! Finally, she revealed that she put up Spencer. It seems as though the production got to her somehow and made her keep Howard off the block. Anytime someone mentioned production not wanting Howard up, they cut to fish on the feeds. So are the producers trying to protect the racial minorities in the house now? Seems so.

I think BBAD went to the all-important 3 minute commercial break during this. I saw the first part of what's in this clip, but they didn't show the worst of it. Between the commercials, the bad SD quality, the reduction to 2 hrs, and the constant censorship, BBAD is really useless this year. I really miss the Showtime version.

I get the idea that Grodner in no way wants Howard or Candice to go out before the trio. That practically means "they win". So this is rigging I can agree. They shouldn't be thought of till the trio's gone first.

But the rest of them are no doubt (as we said here a few days ago) thinking "Keep them to make sure I win Final 2. They'll never win!" Which will piss off more people by letting them stay just for that reason.

DWilson 07-13-13 12:57 PM

Re: Big Brother 15 After Dark/Live Feed Spoiler Thread

They'll probably run the bedroom fight between Aaryn and Candice Sunday night since that got some media attention, and Howard looks like the hero in that; Grodner doesn't want to end with Howard going up at the end of the same hour at the hands of the "good guys" (even though they have sound reasons for doing it).

Of course, I was surprised when they ran a segment on Howard's Christianity and praying with others in the house, -that they ran the segment, that they ran him sharing a prayer pretty much uninterrupted, and they didn't undercut him or mock his beliefs as they have with others in the past.

Re: Big Brother 15 After Dark/Live Feed Spoiler Thread

A few choice lines from the house via "Joker's":

Aaryn (who believes she was put up because people are jealous of her beauty): "I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not"

Jeremy sized up the regime change: "The beautiful went with the beautiful, and the ugly went with the ugly. There was just more ugly."

And from a discussion of GinaMarie:

Judd: "I think she's like a kaliedoscope. She only sees shapes & colors."

Helen: "I've never met anyone like her in my life."

Amanda: "Someone with two cl** piercings?"

More Aaryn:

(talking about her social media stuff) "My media takes care of all of that stuff, so I won't ever see it."

Aaryn is completely delusional. It looks like she really believes she is the innocent victim and nothing wrong comes out of her mouth. I can't wait until she's evicted and Julie puts her on the hot seat.

It's going to freak her out when she exits to a chorus of boos from the audience. Julie needs to play a montage of her worst comments, so she can hear herself saying these terrible things. I can already imagine her trying to justify herself and say everything is a joke and it was all taken out of context. Then, she'll find out that she has lost both her jobs. Her eviction will be priceless tv.

Re: Big Brother 15 After Dark/Live Feed Spoiler Thread

They have their own agenda, but what made McManda irritated was that Helen was supposed to nominate Howard, but then she didn't. Then Elissa was supposed to nominate Howard then she didn't.

After Helen didn't nominate him, Elissa expressed irritation over always having to make the tough nomination and take the blame. McManda came up with a scenario to explain it to Howard and eventually Elissa sort of relented, but she still didn't want to take the blame. While she was in DR making the nomination, McCrae took the fall and told everyone he was MVP and why he was nominating Howard. Then Elissa came out and hadn't nominated Howard. That created some scrambling and deal making.

The sad thing is that Howard EARNED a nomination with his sloppy, bone-headed game play on Friday, but he got a pass presumably b/c of the whole racial controversy. I'm sure he'll get a hero edit on Sunday, and while I do personally feel for him and what he's endured largely w/o comment, he's still playing a game. And he's been playing it poorly. No matter what kind of guy he is, he shouldn't be protected from the consequences of playing a bad game.

I agree with this. If CBS continues to manipulate the contestants to not put up Howard, it more or less steals the victory from those who have been playing the game hard. Namely, Judd, Candice, McCrae and Amanda. If one of them were to win the next HoH, I don't think they would let CBS influence their nominations.... I like Helen and Elissa, but they need to be strong enough to stick with their noms.

Well, we might very well find out sooner rather than later.

Katilin won POV and people are convinced she won't use it rather than put Jeremy at risk.

So, the consensus seems to be that Aaryn will be evicted in that scenario. It really might be good for her to get out now and try and be forgotten quickly. If she goes, I could see her not coming back for the finale.

I don't follow the game nearly as closely as I used to and no one follows it as closely as mwbmis does, but I wonder if it wouldn't be better to vote out Kaitlin. Isn't is better to vote out one of a solid pair that make up a voting block? People can flip like crazy, but Kaitlin and Jeremy are going to be loyal. I would think Aaryn can be controlled a lot easier than leaving in Kaitlin and Jeremy together in case power shifts again.

But, again, I'm not watching that closely.

edit: also Kaitlin look like she might be good at challenges. She was answering questions so quickly in that last HOH, she was like Rain Man. While I don't know what the POV was, it seems to have lasted a long time, so it sounds physical/endurance maybe. Either way, Aaryn doesn't seem smart or particularly strong. She probably got her one win of the summer out of the way already.

Hardly. I don't even have the feeds. I skim AD, and I read Jokers when I'm online in the summer. Of course, that exposes me to Jokers bias. The only summer that I followed religiously was BB8, and that was just b/c I was unemployed.

In terms of closeness to Jeremy, Aaryn and Kaitlin are six of one, half dozen of the other. At least Kaitlin has a shred of sense, and she would be "better" if Jeremy and Aaryn weren't around. They bring out the worst in her (something Jessie commented about herself earlier this week).

Nobody "likes" Aaryn, but she's probably third on the target list for most of the large alliance (behind Jeremy and Howard). Also, Andy likes Kaitlin, and he holds sway over people.

I watched a little bit of BBAD tonight... the first time since the first couple of nights of BB... and it looks like Kaitlin will probably be safe. And you're right... she's an excellent competitor, but... Andy, Helen and Judd were talking and it looks like K is considering taking herself off the block. H, An & Judd seem to trust her for some unknown reason. If that happens, Jeremy will go home. YAY :D

The main ones on their radar are Howard, Spencer and Candice. I don't get the dislike and lack of trust for Candice. I'm fine with Spencer and Howard leaving, but would hope that Aaryn leaves before Candice... but it looks like we might be stuck with her for the foreseeable future. :(

But this is just from watching a little bit of BBAD and things change on a dime in the BB house, so who knows how everything will play out...
