I have no prob with it being in the 'final 10.' They do these types of episodes on the reg so it makes sense to put it anywhere they want..well maybe not the last two or three.

Really enjoyed the last episode.. Nice throwback to the first episode of the series. And a kind of touching way to end the episode. Well done all around.
Still really sad that its coming to an end. But at least we got more instead of it being completely done when it originally was cancelled/ended.

I had one problem with last weeks episode: They implied that Fry's mother missed him when he went missing on January 1, 2000. But Fry returned to his home time and lived there from 2000 to 2012 in "Bender's Big Score."

What was the song that ended the episode when Fry hugs his mom? It goes something like "feel like i am a child, in love". It seems like a song that I used to ALWAYS listen to. But I can't remember what it is. Nothing shows up on Google.

Yep. That's it. Thanks Rich. I played Novocaine For the Soul and Manchild all the time when I was younger.

So.. one last episode to go.. Still sad that its ending.. but I can always throw in the dvds I have or look for re-runs whenever I have the itch to revisit the show.
Surprised that there hasn't been more posting about the show.

Last weekend Comedy Central did a countdown marathon of the top eight episodes as voted by the fans. I missed it but my DVR recorded some of them. Of all the episodes I saw, only one was from the Comedy Central era: "The Late Philip J. Fry."
That really embodies my feelings for the series. It's been great having the show back for another run, but very few of the CC era episodes match the memorable greats of the Fox era. I think the CC era got off to a great start, but the seasons got a little more bland with each season. Though I did get a kick out of this week's episode. Bender tap dancing on a little girl's corpse was spot on.
Overall, it's a terrific series and I'm sad to see it end once again. Though I'm sure it will be another open-ended ending like "Wild Green Yonder." After all, we know a Simpsons crossover is in their future.

#7 was the one where Bender is a god when he's hit by floating debris in space.
#6 was the one with the universe in a box
#5 is the one where they go back in time and Fry becomes his own grandfather.
I can't recall 10-8 at the moment as I watched them a few days ago.

Comedy Central is advertising "closure" for the series finale. Should be interesting!
The show has characters that I care about. It's a far out and goofy show. But the affectionate stuff always leaves me welling up or sobbing like a little girl.

I'm also sad to see it end, but I actually hope they don't bring it back; it seems like they're doing a lot to wrap up the characters' storylines this season, and a renewal would just seem forced. It would probably end up being a pale reflection of itself if it was brought back .... like a zombie Futurama.
I agree completely. I also enjoyed seeing Bender get a new partner in crime.

I really liked it. I'm sorry to see it go, but really glad it went out strong, and I'm glad it got a proper run after Fox cancelled it in it's prime.
It doesn't need to come back again this time.

Good final episode. Nothing too grand...just a quiet, sentimental finale for the main characters.
Goodbye, Futurama!

Quite am ingenious ending. The professor states that it will take the universe back to the "...instant before I conceived of the time button." Conceived, not built. Which could have been any time in the professor's life. Meaning it could be the instant before the start of the entire series (as indicated by Comedy Central immediately playing the pilot directly afterwards and making the entire series one huge loop), or it could be just that episode (in case they get picked up by someone else). Brilliant.
