As someone who is not reading the books and has avoided spoilers, that was a HUGE shocker.

It was also fantastic TV. Possibly the best episode of the series.

Well.. that was a pretty damn good adaptation from the book. Sure, some things changed, but overall it played out just as it should have.

Now people will understand why all the book readers were all but foaming at the mouth for this episode. As well as to see all the reactions from the non-book readers.

So did they get Edmure too? It was implied they got him...but since they never showed it, I'm hoping...

Also, the actor playing Walder Frey was brilliant. Loved how he sipped his wine while observing the bloodbath.

Agreed.. the opening scene welcoming the Stark contingent and the sharing of bread and salt was very well done. He played it perfectly knowing what was coming because of his plan.

Wow..well I've been waiting for that and when I knew it was coming I've never been so nervous watching a TV show.. I liked how it happened with Arya more in the books, but doing it this way ending the episode at the moment they did was powerful.

The actress playing Catelyn did a great job with her reaction to the door being barred and when The Rains of Castamere started playing. Seeing the realization that the night was not going to end well right before the mayhem stated.

My heart was going so damn fast before it all went down, knowing what was coming. Can't wait for next week, but it's going to be a LOOONG wait for the next season.

Yep, visiting there every few minutes to get some amusement. Can't believe all of the sheep watching this show.

This is the problem with TV nowadays. Nobody wants to take risks like this for fear of pissing people off , despite the fact that this is what makes series worth watching. If they didn't shake things up a bit then people would be complaining about how it's always the same'ol ,same'ol , like what is happening with True Blood.

That was something I wish they had done closer to the book. They made it clear that Arya was just knocked out by the Hound. I was so hoping it would end with Arya running towards the camera with the Hound bearing down and cut to black right as we heard the thump on her head.

Holy fucking shit. I'm so glad I avoid spoilers for this show. That was just....I don't even know. But I can't remember the last time a TV show has literally dropped my jaw. I did not see that coming whatsoever. This season has been epic.

Richard Madden has just jumped to the top of the "next Doctor" speculation.

So you're surprised that people would stop watching something if they find it too dark and depressing?

I was just about to ask about the song. Seems like that finally gave it away to her.

Yeah. that was the moment she realized what was going to happen. These are the lyrics for the song, though at the wedding it was just the instrumental.

And who are you, the proud lord said,
that I must bow so low?
Only a cat of a different coat,
that's all the truth I know.
In a coat of gold or a coat of red,
a lion still has claws,
And mine are long and sharp, my lord,
as long and sharp as yours.
And so he spoke, and so he spoke,
that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall,
with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear

I also couldn't help but notice that most of the people upset are women.

Freaking brilliant. Plus, didn't Cersei give us (and Margery) the backstory in the last episode 2 weeks ago?

Damn I love this show.
