Breaking Amish - Season 2

Yes, the most deceptive reality show of all time has managed a second season!

For those that didn't watch, the first season of the show was supposedly about 4 Amish and 1 Mennonite who were experiencing life outside of their normal world for the first time.

Shorty after the debut, this was completely blown out of the water. All 5 had long been out of the Amish community, and had lived in many cases normal lives. The show was basically BS, but it was still somewhat interesting to watch, as long as you knew it was a lie.

So just by the actual nature of the show, Season 2 is far more honest. No longer burdened by having to act like the outside world is new for group, And instead of New York, Season 2 starts with a road trip to Florida.

Anybody else watching?

Wife and I watched most of the first season. Once we found out it was even more fake than your usual "reality" show, we kind of lost interest.

We may give the second season a whirl, though, to see how they steer the show not that we all know their true situation.

I'm watching but we need to clarify one thing. Are we talking about the whole Brave New World thing that's airing now or the upcoming season 2 (with an all new cast) that's debuting this summer? Either way it's fake as hell.....but entertaining.

Wow, I wasn't even aware they were going to try doing the show with a new cast.

Anyway, I was talking about Brave New World.

We enjoy it. It's obviously staged but the characters are interesting and it's all like a mini soap opera. Compulsively watchable.

The only thing that I saw a little of was the reunion or wrap up show hosted by Michelle Beadle, and that was hard to watch. Seemed pretty confrontational and mean spirited to me, more from the cast than Beadle. Anyone see it? Am I off base?

Beadle really needed to press on like she did because basically the producers lied about the whole premise of the show: all of the cast members had been gone from Amish communities for awhile before the show, some had children already, etc. etc.

I don't know which is worse, this or Amish Mafia.

I was a sucker for both.
