The toughest has to be the Bilson roommate situation. Again, have we ever been to Robin's apartment? I'd assume as real human beings, the gang has all been there at some point but as characters in a show, who knows?
It's a stretch, but this Ted/Robin yanking us around serves no purpose and is worse, IMO. i.e. I'm trying to give the writers the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Off the top of my head I remember her living: on her own in Brooklyn (first few seasons), moving in with Don (I believe that's his name, it's the dude she worked with) for a few episodes, then she moved in with Ted after Don left her and finally she moved in with Barney.

It's definitely not Robin. The very first episode ends with future Ted telling the kids that was how he met their Aunt Robin.
Enough with this Ted/Robin crap. The only thing that saved this from being a complete waste of time was they didn't kiss, since that is where it looked like it was going. If they had, at that point, it would just make them both too unlikable for cheating on Barney with each other (even if it is just a kiss).

What if this show led you to believe it was Robin, people guessed it to quickly, then they fucked you around for a bunch of seasons before revealing it was Robin....in a way.

I'm starting to think that it might be Robin as well. Like others have said, the show has already set up that Robin can't birth children. So it would be easy to say there was a biological mom. That she used to live with Ted's ex girlfriend, used to be in one of his classes, crossed paths with him a bunch of times, etc. It would be an easy way to play the "it was fate so she must be the one that carries our children" story line. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

^If they pull anything like that it would be terrible. Not only would it be a terrible way to end the story but there would also be no way anyone would like Robin and Ted for dicking Barney over like that.

Ugh, why are they wasting our time with this?
I didn't like this episode at all and I've been forgiving of this season. The Marshall/Lilly stuff was annoying. Really, you're afraid that your best friends of 15 years will forget about you because they go to Italy for a year?
