Synopsis:

"The Evil Queen" - With the aid of Hook, Regina attempts to put a plan in motion that will help transport herself and Henry back to Fairytale land. Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was, the Evil Queen asks Rumplestiltskin to transform her into an unrecognizable peasant in order to kill an unsuspecting Snow White, with the twisted aim of earning the love and respect of her subjects, on "Once Upon a Time," SUNDAY, APRIL 28 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

This felt like a filler episode for the most part. And now we're supposed to believe that Taser Girl has technology that can counteract magic. And it fits in a bracelet? Seriously?

They need to hire new writers if this show comes back for a third season.

Thanks for the brief description, RocShemp. I will likely fast forward through the entire episode unless Mr. Gold is on the screen.

Gold is only seen from the distance. His Rumple persona however gets two scenes. Carlyle is fantastic in both scenes but it's really all in service of once again hammering home yet again that Regina's delusional in thinking that people will love her while she's constantly killing everyone.

Why would Regina tell her evil plan to Henry, only to immediately cast a Forget-What-I-Just-Said spell? Why would she even think that goody two shoes Henry would acceppt a plan to kill everyone?

And I loved that bit with the special bracelet. Made with something better than magic.........SCIENCE!

This show is in a world of trouble as far as I'm concerned. It's been a total mess this season, so much so that I'm not even going to waste my time ranting about it.

It's been so bad, in my opinion, that I doubt that I'll even buy season 2 of blu until season 3 is airing and things have gotten better or stay the same or get worse.

I can't imagine another season like this will even allow the show a season 4. Season 1 was pretty solid. It wasn't perfect by any stretch, but I certainly didn't expect this kind of drop off or that news shows like The Americans and The Bates Motel would surpass this in how much I looked forward to the next week's episode.

Yeah, this episode was a hot mess. In the backstory, why did Regina insist on saying she was the queen when she went into the village? Did she forget the Rumple instructions so quickly? Yeah the entire tell Henry the plot and cast a spell made no sense.

In the other plot, I just have a general comment. Why should I care about Taser Girl and the other guy? I mean as characters I find them pretty boring. I feel bad that the other guy lost his father because of Regina but other characters in this series have more compelling stories than his.

Depending on how much time they say has gone by in flashbacks (when they get there probably next season) about how she found out about magic, met her bf, and they figured out how to make tech to stop magic and get it that size? It'll no doubt work.

But that's a story for another time. Its like when Snow White was telling the queen how she met someone from another land who taught her how to hunt and survive, and shoot.

Now while I'd LOVE for it to be Lara Croft , you know in reality its going to be Robin Hood but that's a story they'll no doubt tell some other time.

This show is so out of hand ..... the recap epsiode last week displayed just how convulted and desperate the writing can be. Are there any fairytale characters they would hesitate to insinuate into the story? Will Yoda show up soon?

Did the actress who played Cora get sick and thus necessitate killing off her character? Because I don’t see how the writers thought going from Cora to Taser Girl would have been a good idea. Cora would have curb stomped the bitch.

Speaking of desperate writing, in this episode we see Snow kill several of the Queen’s soldiers. She’s killed many of them throughout the course of the series. Yet we’re supposed to believe that killing Cora (who would have wreaked far more havoc than Regina was ever capable of even attempting) actually blackened Snow’s heart. I can understand that the manner in which Snow orchestrated Cora’s death was particularly cruel. But that is completely ignored and instead we’re told Snow is a hero and heroes don’t kill the villains, despite the fact that said villains are out to kill everyone.

The anti-magic stuff seems so random to me. I think it might be the moment when this show finally jumped the shark.

I guess I probably dozed off during whichever episode it was discussed, but what is Taser Girl's motivation? I know she's with the guy looking for his father, but is that her only reason?

They actually vaguely mentioned a group of some sort. I guess thats why he was filming the use of magic. Would explain why taser girl has the magic killing "weapons" and how she found the dragon. So next season could be this group against the storybrook residents.

They've yet to give her motivation. All that's known is that she faked having cancer and she was instead using that as an excuse to "out" the Dragon. However, in the promo for next week,
Spoiler:
she is shown briefly ranting about magic being unholy.

No group has been implied as of yet. All the taping was specifically for "Her" who turned out to be Taser Girl.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is some anti-magic group but I hope the writers don't go there. The show was at its best when it was Gold and Regina versus everyone else (and each other to an extent). Cora seemed like a credible threat but they really dropped the ball with her which is a shame. Taser Girl and the kid looking for his dad need to die ASAP. Hopefully Mulan makes it to Storybrooke and decapitates them.

That said, I bet you the missing father is who Mr. Gold sent out of Storybrooke to get Henry for Regina. That's the only potentially interesting development in this silly story arc.

sorry it was in the 8 min preview for next week.
Spoiler:
She says "the home office is going to have a field day with the data we've collected. So yes to a big bad group of non magical people.

Isn't there a former Buffy writer on here?

Gotcha. I never saw that 8 minute preview. I'm not surprised that's where they're going with this but it royally sucks. If this is the best they can come up with, might as well cancel the show now.

If Marc Blucas shows up, I'm outta here.

I've actually been enjoying this season. My only complaint is that they've got too much going on. They need to end the arcs for a few of the side characters.

Agreed. It can get hard to keep up with.

I was enjoying this season until the addition of Taser Girl (and everything related to her) and the retarded morality regarding Snow's heart.
