Without Carell returning for the finale, realistically, I can only see the show going out with a whimper and not a roar.

The Andy stuff was painful to watch.
Not much else to say.

Hey, they got Steve Carrell to come back for this episode! I saw him in the audience during that one flashback.
I thought the cats nearly smothering Angela's baby was pretty good.
Hard to believe there's only 3 more episodes left.

I liked it. Nellie made me laugh, which is a first. And it's nice to see Jim and Pam reconnecting. Their issues are something many couples deal with once the romance period is past. I'm glad they included that moment at the end.

I missed the first few minutes (which I'll catch up on) but why the hell was Darryl around for that shoot? Pretty unprofessional of Andy to bring a friend along on his first job.

I'm pretty sure because Darryl had nothing else to do. Does he even work at Dunder anymore or did he quit?

That's what I think, too. Some of these plots/subplots seem to indicate they're just trying to change the course of what they've set up so that they can end on the right note.
IE Jim and Pam reconcile, Dwight and Angela get together, Andy becomes an actor, etc.

not as funny as I thought it would be. I too expected the paper airplane contest to pack more of a punch (the guys hire engineers to help them design etc.)
so I guess the turmoil between pam and jim are over (note to self... just recite your wedding vows and all will be forgiven)
- Jim to Pam "see you later, off to Philly. Good luck with those kids and your job. If you get upset again give me a call and I can recite the vows."

Yeah that moment at the end is not a solution to their strife. An affirmation that they still love each other but like CPA said, how does that solve Pam's problem with Jim's job?
Also the longline for the finale is out.

I laughed when whatshisname asked if Jim and Pam were high and then his following dialogue. Other than that a pretty forgettable episode. I'm setting the bar pretty high for these last few episodes, but it didnt even come close last night. Kevin buying a paper airplane off craigslist was kinda funny.

I'm still not sure. But if he quit, Dwight should have been fighting for that office. Hell he should have fought to be manager while Andy was away but that's a dead horse. At least now he's resigned to being a good salesman.

This sucked. Ed Helms shouldn't even be on it this year... they should've wrote him out on his journey and we should've gotten a season with Dwight actually running things.

To be seen, but I assume either he will quit, she will quit and join him, or he will work something out where he can be around more. The makeup at the end wasn't the solution, but likely sets things in motion for a solution to happen.
