Re: Amazon Original Pilots

I kinda like the idea of being able to watch these online and vote. Why don't the networks do something like this?

Re: Amazon Original Pilots

I watched Browsers last night. I thought it was ok and it would have been better if it wasn't a musical. Bebe Neuwirth is always great at playing bitchy type characters and I liked that the pilot is heavily based on Arianna Huffington and HuffPost. I don't see it becoming a series.

Based on the numbers of reviews and ratings, it looks like Onion News Empire and Zombieland are the most likely to get series orders.

Amazon has confirmed Browsers and Zombieland will not be moving forward.

Watched Zombieland pilot and while it wasn't bad, I can see that it wasn't going to do well.
Not that you can tell much from a pilot. I always say give a new show at least a few episodes.
I think a lot of shows today are built on the idea that they will all be watched, right now. That simply cannot happen. There are too many shows that have peoples interests. Proof is in the amount of DVRs in one's household. I had 4 at one time but had to scale back to 2 since rates when up.

Re: Amazon Original Pilots

As of now, Alpha House and Betas are moving forward. No word on how many episodes Amazon will order.

Zombieland co-creator Rhett Reese just posted this on Twitter: “I’ll never understand the vehement hate the pilot received from die-hard Zombieland fans. You guys successfully hated it out of existence.”

Re: Amazon Original Pilots

I'm surprised the creator of Zombieland was so upset the Pilot didn't get picked up and blamed the fans. He seemed to take it personally based on that comment.
