I hope Jerry isn't retiring for real.

"Jerry's Retirement" might have been the best episode of the season.

April's statement at the end about how she'd get Ron and Chris pitted against each other was great.

"Jerry, thank you for your service. Goodbye." "Nature. Ha!"

See you tomorrow, Jeremy.

Jerry's family breakfast was pure awesome. "It just doesn't make any sense."

thank god they didn't get rid of Jerry.

Patton Oswalt's full 8+ minute filibuster is here. Genius.

And, of course, someone has made a poster for it (spoilerized for size and if you don't want any of that video's plot points ruined ):

I was thinking the same thing about Article Two, which I enjoyed more. Both were pretty damn good.

Usually the Ben/nerd stuff makes me cringe, but all that GoT stuff was gold, as was the Episode VII filibuster. The reality gem! Then the look on Ben and Ann's face when Leslie turned the tables on them with a third friend week, complete with gifts. And the pawn shop negotiations!

Garry's dexterity at home was great too.

It's been said before, but man this show has evolved so much from the first season. Making Andy and Jerry into different parts of Homer Simpson were great decisions.

I think putting that clip with Patton Oswalt online helped a lot, it scored solid ratings from 9 - 10 last night (1.7, up from a 1.5 for a half hour last week).

My favorite part of the filibuster was how the male councilmen were starting to get interested in Patton Oswalt's Episode VII ideas.

I liked that they brought back the dude that bid $500 for a date with Ann in the episode where they were raising money after Jerry had a fart attack.

I completely forgot about all the outdated rules:

A white male can seize any property from an Indian for 25 cents
If a woman raises her voice to a white, landowning male...
If the taxation of tea rises to an unacceptable level, citizens shall dump teD into the Lake
Women who are menstruating can be confined to their tubs
Buffalo meat as currency

I liked the first episode better, mainly because I liked both subplots. The Ann/Chris subplot in the second episode had some laughs, but was kinda blah.

"Normally, if given the choice between doing something and doing nothing, I'll do nothing. But I will do something if it helps someone else do nothing. I'd work all night if it meant that nothing got done."

"Well, Jerry was never the type to rise above mediocrity. Or to it."
