Interesting...
Some indication that Norman and Norma are both messed up. (duh!)
Touching scene with Norman and Emma when he disclosed his relationship with Bradley. Didn't realize Emma was played by a Brit.
And, another WTF unexpected shooting moment, ala (other series mentioned)

This show is awesome. I am not sure they can keep the momentum but it is a terrific ride so far. Most unexpectedly awesome show of the year. Vera deserves Emmy consideration she is creating a truly memorable and very creepy character. Emma and Norman are also doing terrific jobs.

Hey check out the Bates Motel website that Norma was browsing.

Yeah this show has definitely exceeded my expectations. Another great episode. I like seeing the unstable side of Norma revealing itself. I couldn't help but think of the final shot in Psycho during Norma's stay at the police station, her sitting on that bench against a white wall. I wonder if she feels a chill?. And was Norman's grab for the candy at the lawyer's office a reference to his candy corn munching during Arbogast's questioning?
I also really like the Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew aspect of the show with Norman and CF girl. I'd pick her over Bradley any day, tank and all.

Dylan's character arc is taking an interesting turn. He was introduced as a mean, self-interested thug. He's now becoming a loyal ally and seems to genuinely care for Norman. (Of course, he's got a seriously screwed up moral compass).

This show has quickly progressed from a show I watched solely out of curiosity to one that has me screaming at the screen when the episode ends, because I just cannot stand the thought of not knowing what happens next.

Great episode and a lot of stuff happened.
So when will we see people checking into the hotel to book a room?

Another good episode this week. I too am pleasantly surprised by this show. It keeps going places where I didn't expect it too.

On other sites, it is more team Emma than team Bradley. I like Emma more than Bradley for some reason.
Spoiler:
I also think Dylan will die and based on the last episode, I get the feeling his job will be the reason.

Watched Psycho last night (first time in a long while). Was reminded how often Norman Bates mentions how the nearby road used to be the main highway. Also, forgot the movie took place in California. I assume the show moved the location to Oregon because of the cheaper production cost (it's filmed in Canada).
Lastly, I wonder if there's coincidence they cast Nestor Carbonell in the show as the sheriff. Both he and Perkins look like they both wear eyeliner.
