I for one liked the song at the end.

And while I do like this show, I think I would love it if it specifically followed Tyrion, Arya, and Daenerys. They're the outcasts, and their storylines are also the most interesting. You could fill in the gaps based on what they find out from the people they meet in their travels.

I know, people would go apeshit, but that's the GoT show of my dreams.

You don't think Jon Snow fits in that category?

He does, but so far I've found him far less interesting than the other three. Maybe that will change.

I think he's more likable in the books, he's a bit more emo in the show. But if they do the character justice, he should be more enjoyable soon.

Honestly, I think you're overreacting. The song was jarring, yes, but that was the point. You just had one of the main characters get a hand chopped off right before the episode ends, already putting viewers off balanced, and then the appearance of a modern day song adds to the disorientation.

Of course, I may be biased, since I'm a Hold Steady fan...

Tyrion and Arya for me.

If you're going with the "Outcast" theme, I think Brienne and Sansa both qualify.

Sam Tarly as well. And Big Boi, but maybe not Andre 3000.
