Well that sounds fucking stupid.

Why? Being an actor sounds like a pretty boring life to be honest, and not particularly fulfilling either. Pretty good financially of course, if you make it to the top..

Yeah, he should pursue his passion. Plus, in 40 years it'll give his students a laugh when one of them finds an old Blu-Ray in their grandparent's attic.

"What's a Blue-Ray?" they'll say and we old coots will just laugh and laugh.

I was kidding. I couldn't wait to be done with school, so it wouldn't be the route for me...but yeah, obviously I hope he does whatever he wants.

Based on the Season 1 & 2 promo art, I'm pretty sure the dragon shadow will actually be the Season 3 cover art for the Blu-ray.

Ok, people are blowing this WAY out of proportion. The song was during the credits, not within the actual episode. Was it jarring? Yes but to say it ruined the episode is a prime example of a first world problem if there ever was one. People, you need to chill the fuck out.

Re: Game of Thrones -- "Walk of Punishment" -- 4/14/13

Agreed. And the whole point of the modern song was to be jarring. A main character's hand was suddenly chopped off and the viewer is supposed to react with "WTF just happened?!?" and then a smash cut to a modern version of a song sung earlier in the episode (in a more traditional manner) just made it even more insane. Yes, I don't expect it to be done for any more episodes this season but used in a limited manner, I thought it was quite effective.

Here's an idea (spoiler for non-book readers):

Spoiler:
How about some Billy Idol at the end of Episode 9?

The scene in the book played out in a very surreal way, and with certain changes made to the show and the difficulty of adapting such a strange scene without inner monologue, the contrast of the music to the action was a great way to keep the surrealism and bizarre nature of the scene intact.

For whatever reason, my sound cut out near the very end, what did that dude say to Kingslayer after he got him across the stump?

Bolton Banner Man: You think you're the smartest man there is. And everyone alive has to bow and scrape and lick your boots.

Jaime: My father......

BBM: And if you get into any trouble all you have to do is say my father. And that's it. All your troubles are gone. Have you got something to say? You don't want say the wrong thing. You're nothing without your daddy and your daddy aint here. Never forget that. Here this should help you remember.

**CHOP**

Jaime: DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG! That hurt you dick!

The Lannistrs did not have a Tyrell alliance at that point, and they were still trying to do enough damage to make Joffery give Ned back. NOW Robb has to somehow WIN this war
