Wow, I felt this was the best ep since the winter special. Definitely felt a sense of tension and mystery throughout. I think you knew the Docotor and Clara would be fine in the end, but I never once felt the Docotor was in control.

It was better than last week and one of the better episodes this series. It was slightly annoying that whole thing was built in a lame joke (Ice Warrior/Cold War) that they felt the need to slap us in the face with so we could notice how clever it was, over and over again.

I think this is one of the best episodes they've done since the reboot of the show. It manages to evoke the classic series (feeling like a Second Doctor episode with a Third Doctor villain) while still feeling like NuWho, and a damn good episode of NuWho at that. The tension is palpable as Saldak hunts the crew through the sub, and the final standoff between him and the Doctor was just wonderfully performed. Episodes like this are what make me love Doctor Who.
