This shows has been missing those "arena" scenes. The sword eyes was gruesome. I was expecting a "This is Spartacus!" line.
Maybe I had turned my head at the wrong moment but where were they? Arena seating on a Cliffside?
If Tiberius had left with Caesar, I was thinking Caesar would have killed him anyway and blamed it on Spartacus.
If Whitfield were still around, I thought we'd see the Braveheart ending. With McIntyre, I'm seeing Spartacus on a farm with the roman chick.

Loved this episode.
But did anyone feel Spartacus holding and playing in the "games" seemed a little out of character for him even with Roman soldiers?

A little, but I chalked it up to his desire to pay proper gladiator tribute to Crixus.

One more and that's it...hate to see it go.
If anything with this episode Tiberius got off real easy with a small knife in the back. I was actually hoping for a good conflict between him an Naevia with her at the end splitting his head open like a pinnaple. And yes if he went with Caesar he wouldn't have made it back alive to dear old Dad.
I'm torn as to how I want the final for Spartcus....actaully showing his death or just him giving a last grand speech and running into a Legion alone with the camera slowly going upward in the sky. I don't think we'll see another "Crixus" style death. Maybe Spartacus slowly dying and seeing a ghosting image of his wife and/or flashbacks of his times as being a gladiator.
I know the preview looks amazing...

Maybe I missed it but why are they hanging around. The original plan was to go over the mountains and then scatter. Knowing that Crassus is heading that way and possibly Pompey as well I'd be heading for the wilderness and not waiting around to enjoy some sport.

I don't have a clear picture of the terrain we're talking about so it's hard to say, but it seems like they've said Crassus is coming from one direction and Pompey the other. And there are mountains and water to consider as well.
The logistics issues surrounding the rebellion are interesting. Spartacus has a following that's far too big for him to quickly move, and far to small to deal with all Rome has to offer. One of the biggest things they've had going for themselves is the empire has diverted attention and hasn't wanted to call out the big guns until now. Sadly, the bigger the rebellion gets, the more it's worthy of an all out assault.
Given that I've been kind of bummed the whole season with knowing where it's going, it was kind of nice to see the Gladiator scenes. Kind of. I'm not really into the glorification of the blood and gore. But the display from our Gladiators was a nice acknowledgement of the athletcism, smarts, and determination of these men who spend every day of their lives in captivity being the best at what they do. Go Spartacus. Go Gannicus. And... RIP Crixus, the Unbeaten Gaul.

Very meh episode, I was hoping to see Crixus' bitch bite the dust, her character was destroyed this season. And about Tiberius' death, another weak scene, who cares about that slave?

Another outstanding episode. Gosh, I'm really gonna miss this. That being said, I am now fully expecting Spartacus to smash Crassus with intervention from Pompeii. Then the whole "I Am Spartacus" thing and it ending with him living his life out in peace with that Roman chick across the sea.
We'll see. Considering DeKnight's track record with insanely awesome finale's I know it will be satisfying no matter what.
