Holy shit....Wow. That shit that pulled Ben with Sammy. That was crazy. That scene with Sammy and the black gang member was intense.

Lots of great revelations in this episode. Shocked that John re-united with his ex wife. And then we discovered that Lucero is separated and has a strained relationship with his wife.

Did not expect John, Dewey and Lucero's watch commander to be the one who's son was murdered.

at Shaq's guest appearance.

Earl to John: "tell your partner to watch the gel. Ba da da da La Bamba."

Holy shit this show never misses. I hope that somehow it can go on and that new characters won't kill it. So the question is do we let it die with it's original cast strong and true or do we want new characters and another season that could potentially suck?

Dewey poking guys with the stick through the window.

Shaq was awesome in that gang detective role. Stunt casting for sure, but that was a perfect hit and run role.

Wow, Sherman. You are truly on the dark side now.

Have you seen some news I haven't? First, these aren't the original characters. Some of the original characters have already left, and others have come on.

Maybe you're responding to the announcements about actors taking other jobs. I believe all of those are secondary. Southland has first dibs on the actors. But more importantly, the only reason these actors are out looking for other jobs is because the renewal prospects look dim for the show. The problem is the ratings, not the actors.

There's been quite a few cast changes except for maybe 5 original members since it debut on NBC. I hope it goes on for at least another season. If the writing stays strong it shouldn't be a problem introducing new characters.

Best line of the episode:

Dewey: Hey Munoz when you're done with that piece of shit, can you mow my lawn?

Munoz: I just got done trimming your wife's bush.

Gang Member laughing...Munoz: Shut the fuck up, you don't know him.

Southland is the best God damn cop drama on television! For comparison, Southland makes Hawaii 5-0 look like a bunch of retards on a short bus driving around in circles endlessly.

Southland is the only show that I look forward to watching every week. I love the fact that the show doesn't follow the "TV standard" of having to solve all the crimes committed during an episode in 45 minutes much like the CSI's, 5-0's, Law & Order's of the world. Is Southland perfect? no... but for what it is, it's AMAZING!

My rant on TV (NBC especially):

I gave up watching Community when they fired Dan Harmon... didn't even give this season a chance... I love the actors but when the head visionary is fired, the show loses it's soul. Fuck NBC!

I lost interest in the Office, Parks and Rec and 30 Rock. Hey NBC, FUCK YOU!

In a nutshell, Southland was once a NBC show but the executives at NBC don't know how to manage a channel... scratch that, they do... they want to pander to the lowest common denominator, basically, they want to be CBS. Fuck you NBC! [end rant]

CBS is the #1 network and they get the advertising dollars to reflect that. Why should they have kept a show nobody was watching?

Anyway, if Southland doesn't come back at this point, that won't be on NBC.

Awesome episode and a great season thus far. This show always seems to be on the bubble. Is it fairly certain it won't be returning.
