This was my favorite episode so far. It was very interesting to see the stirrings of Norman's split personality, forgetting he attacked his brother and then his imaginary conversation with a more sinister mother. As a fan of the movies Freddie Highmore continues to impress me with his performance.

Another enjoyable episode.
I know they have to expand the focus, but the show is definitely at their best when they focus on Farmiga & Highmore. I am especially impressed by Highmore.
I feel like I should've seen the twist with the cop coming, but I surely did not. That should make for some very interesting developments.

This show has been a pleasant surprise; I really wasn't sure what to expect. I like how they're revealing these secrets the town holds. Kind of reminds me of Twin Peaks.
The ratings have been good and have held up so far. I think we'll be getting a renewal announcement soon.

^ That's what it's been reminding me of as well. The setting resembles TP too, so that helps.
Solid episode this week. Didn't expect that stuff with the cop either.

I think turning Norman into a delusional character this early in the series reeks of desperation by the writers. I understand audiences are more fickle and demanding these days to see quick plot developments, but that changes the whole tone going forward. We can never really trust the veracity of any future scene involving Norman, as the audience.

Vera Farmiga looked really hot in that loose dress when she went to visit the deputy.
Yeah I liked this episode and the hints of Norman's split personality.
The last scene with the Asian girl, which may or may not be a hallucination was interesting.

A great trick to have pulled on the audience would have been a later-reveal that one of Norman's girlfriends was a product of his delusions the entire time. That would have been a killer move, though somewhat derivative of another recent horror series I won't mention. Thinking back over the episodes, that possibility has already been ruled out since other characters have both interacted with the girls.
