Spoiler:
Since they didn't tell us who sacked Winterfell at the end of last season, I wonder if they're going to hold onto that information until the Red Wedding and finally reveal the betrayal of House Bolton.

They still haven't announced who's going to play Ramsay Snow. I wonder if the viewers will just see a guy named Ramsay who has Theon in a torture chamber. I can envision Theon only calling him "Ramsay" since he would know who he was, and since it was already revealed in season two that Roose Bolton has a bastard who was going to Winterfell from Dreadfort, having someone named Ramsay Snow would sort of tip that hand.
They cant, since we obviously see
Spoiler:
Brienne in the Bear pit from the trailer, and Roose is already in Harrenhall, and there is no Vargo Hoath, I assume Roose cuts off Jamie's hand and throws Brienne in the pit

^ They're all over the place here in Los Angeles. Is TX even a craft brew friendly state?

I'm not sure how to answer that. My initial response would be yes, it is. I've bought craft beers in many bars in Texas.

That being said, this article says "Texas has some of the most restrictive beer laws in the country" and that bills are being proposed to give more freedom to breweries.

Anyway it seems that all the stores that got this GoT beer only received 1 case each and of course it sold as soon as it hit the sales floor.

Gotcha. Yeah, I went in to my local spot to replenish my supply for Sunday, but since we never opened it last week, it was a non-issue. My contact was all like "you want another one?"

It's pretty limited supply in the midwest so far. Still not available in Oklahoma, but Ommegang says it'll be here this month. My friend went to Joplin, MO to pick up the four we had for my premiere party the other night because she's awesome. Evidently we/I only drank three of them so I still have one in the fridge for this Sunday.

Haven't been able to find it anywhere here, and my friends have checked pretty much every beer store. We are definitely a craft beer friendly area here on the Eastern Shore, home of Dogfishead and Evo.

Re: Game of Thrones -- Season Premiere -- "Valar Dohaeris" -- 3/31/13

I am not one to harp on spoilers from the books but I, for one, am actually very disappointed to find out that even through season 5 (or is it 6?) we won't find out who Jon's mother was/is. I would rather not know that.

Why do people have such a problem with using spoiler tags, I don't understand the anger.

any talk about jons mother is all speculation, it's never discussed in the books, outside of briefly in the first one.

Re: Game of Thrones -- Season Premiere -- "Valar Dohaeris" -- 3/31/13

Yeah, maybe...

(minor book three spoilers...a character who tells a story)

Spoiler:
but what cinched it for me was Meera Reed's story with no names. That made me reexamine Ned's dream from book one and led me to the "truth" of Jon's parentage. Meera Reed's story hasn't happened yet on the show (and whether it will at all and in what form is yet to be determined. We haven't even met her yet.

All I know is that there is nothing that has aired in the show that at all questions his parentage, and if I were to come on here reading people with informed speculation about it I would probably be pissed. I know I was shocked that it got posted.

I wish there was a separate thread for those that have read the books (though I guess this has been tried before). The threat of learning too much information takes away from the fun of discussing the show.

Exactly, you say something like "I wonder if we will ever see Jon's mother." and hear back (it's already been spoiled this thread):
Spoiler:
You won't find out who the mother is through the first 5 books (seasons) and it's hinted that Ned isn't even his real father. It's something I would prefer not knowing and let the mystery deepen as was intended when it was written. I don't think it's too much to ask.

Agreed. Just because there isn't an "answer" to something doesn't mean it's not a spoiler. Similarly misinformation is a spoiler because either you know what you just heard won't happen, taking it off the table (no matter how ridiculous it may seem), or you spend the whole episode half-invested because you think you know the outcome.

"I was so scared that Ned was about to die until Arya put an arrow through the heart of Ilyn Payne. Nice callback to episode one where she was better at archery than Bran!"

You know, at some point you should just not read anything about the show.

So do you think someone saying, "you'll never guess who Keyser Soze turns out to be" before seeing Usual Suspects for the first time wouldn't in some way dampen your enjoyment to of the movie? I know my brother said, "You'll never guess the twist at the end" before I saw Sixth Sense and I guessed about half way through. I doubt I would have been looking for it and had the same reveal most other viewers had and the movie might have been a little more enjoyable.

If you are going to say anything about the books that goes beyond where the show is simply don't. It's pretty easy. Even if it is to confirm or deny speculation or tell people that the info is never revealed. There should be a place to discuss the episode (and even speculate on future events based on what is seen, not what is known from the books) and not worry about reading info you don't want to know.
