Justified - "Peace of Mind" - 3/26/13

The Drew Thompson case becomes a fiasco that Raylan can only fix by besting Boyd in a hunt for the unwitting woman caught in the middle.

Nice episode. Colt and Tim having a standoff with Colt dying was the most predictable thing ever though. Saw that coming from the moment they met.
Also, why is Winona wearing high heels around the house? Wtf

Wow. I can't believe Boyd is making this play. That has suicide written all over it.

at Colt puffing out cigarette smoke in his dying gasp.Loved Rachel talking shit to Limehouse. When she and Raylan left Tim alone, I was afraid he'd catch a bullet.
I can't remember the exact line, but Nicky telling Boyd he needed Google translate to understand him cracked me up.
Whoever casts this show deserves an Emmy. Mike O'Malley was some inspired casting; he steals every scene. Ellen May, Colton, Shelby...every actor seems just right.

RIP Fetus Givens, Winona's high heels for around the house, and a poorly constructed rocking chair made in China.
If she survives, i guess Winona and child go into witness protection or something and Raylan can never see them again?
i was hoping for more from the Tim/Colt showdown.

Yay, Tim made it out alive!
The previews for next week look ridiculous. Fuck this show is good.

I'm kind of wondering how much longer the raylan/boyd thing can go on, with all of this shit going down there has got to be some reason to throw him in jail by this point.

Dave99 expresses thoughts I've had. Pelenor offers the only out that makes any sense. Boyd seems almost played out, but if he can somehow save Winona, then I suppose I can see how he can continue on the show.

No surprise...
FX’s Justified will return next January for another year.
The network revealed the pickup at its upfront presentation to advertisers in New York City on Thursday morning, along with several other announcements.

IMO, drag away. I don't know how tied to Boyd the book(s) are, but the story could definitely continue without Boyd. It's only keeping Boyd around that leads to any dragging. Sure, losing him would be a big loss, but it's an even greater loss to can the whole show because Boyd will soon wear out his welcome as a character.
There are all kinds of possibilities, including killing off Boyd and a hardened Ava taking over as well as Raylan having adventures outside of Harlan. And let's not forget the Detroit mob wouldn't be too happy with him (though in general, the mob doesn't retaliate against law enforcement officials).
That said, if they aren't feeling it creatively, I'd rather see it go out at a creative high point.

I'm okay with one final season if that is creatively what is called for. I would sure hope we'd get something to replace it with, though.

I have seen interviews online from Graham Yost saying he was hoping for six seasons.

Six seems to be a good amount. Though I'll take, 10,15, whatever.
