I've asked people to state the things that "don't make sense". I've heard one, which I explained.

They mentioned that Shane had a "cameo" appearance in Season 3, but I must have blinked and missed it. Was that the episode when Rick was outside the prison gates, when the Governor was shooting up the place?

If it's logical, yep. I won't defend things that can't be explained.

Only in your mind. Your "explanations" are extrapolations, at best. You just can't admit to yourself that the show's writing is lazy lazy lazy.

What, like how Rick became the leader after the first day?

Re: The Walking Dead -- "Prey" -- 3/17/13
I think Shane was, in a way. When Rick came along, Shane was definitely upsurped. That caused 1/2 of his resentment towards Rick...the other half was, of course, over Lori.

Did any of you catch the sneak peek at next week's episode on Talking Dead?

Nope. They're legitimate explanations. A show should not spell out every single detail of every single scene...it's like people are afraid to use their minds to fill in the blanks.

Re: The Walking Dead -- "Prey" -- 3/17/13
What, you've never seen a ninja zombie? There's a reason.

Every goddamn time. Seriously, it's like they appear out of thin air when the script wills it.
i would think if i lived in the zombie apocalypse, my head would be on a swivel 24/7. And you're right, this is not the first time zombies have materialized out of thin air. |
Re: The Walking Dead -- "Prey" -- 3/17/13
Yeah, zombies popping out of nowhere always annoys me. Unfortunately, it's common in any zombie related movie or show.
I think its easier to just accept that its for dramatic effect and unrealistic, opposed to trying to explain why it could really happen. Those reasons just end up being ridiculous. |
Re: The Walking Dead -- "Prey" -- 3/17/13
It could be explained that Andrea was so focused on the approaching vehicle, that she was distracted to the point of not noticing impending zombies.
It's Andrea, okay? Suspend disbelief. |

Agree with you, fuman - i'm fine with suspending belief for dramatic effect.

Re: The Walking Dead -- "Prey" -- 3/17/13
Just finished this last night. Wow, this was definitely a heavy Andrea-centric episode. It was an okay episode. I don't think it was as boring as some here made it out to be.
 Finally Andrea realizes the Governor is a psycho. What was the point of the flashback between Andrea and Michonne? I don't think it really added anything to the story. I did enjoy the burnt walkers still alive. Some really cool effects there by Nicotero and his team. |
Re: The Walking Dead -- "Prey" -- 3/17/13
There's plenty that can't be explained if you aren't allowed to use "That doesn't need to be explained!" as a defense.

Re: The Walking Dead -- "Prey" -- 3/17/13
Coming up with terrible explanations doesn't make it better.
|
Re: The Walking Dead -- "Prey" -- 3/17/13
Now that's a matter of opinion, whether the explanation is terrible or not. To me, it's not at all.
Like I said, the one unexplainable thing to me is that everyone has pinpoint precision with a gun. |

And before you gripe about Carl shooting zombie-Shane in the head from 1000 feet away (or whatever, it was far), um...uh... ok, that was unexplainable. Beginner's luck? I don't believe the family, or Shane, taught him how to shoot, and even if they did and I don't remember, nobody gets that good that quick. |

Even as a fan of this show, and the Living Dead genre, this very thing has always made my eyes roll when it happens. It makes no sense at all. |

There are definitely things here and there that are unrealistic or unexplainable....but not to the extent people say, and not the things that people are complaining about. |
