Can we get Brandon cast on MTV's The Challenge? They'll actually let punches fly before the producers step in and send you home. And it's no big deal if it happens, as you still get invited back for future seasons.

With that said, the guy is obviously nuttier than a candy bar.

To Me it looked like Brandon knew exactly what he was doing - Still a nutjob though and I bet the team are well pleased he is gone.
Phil is probably next for the chop, but at least with him you don't feel like you would wake up in the night with your camp on fire.

I also thought it would have been funny after Brandon went off and the commercial popped up for the Sprint Player of the Week to have Brandon as one of the choices.

I really like Jeff Probst a lot and I also dislike the guy a lot. He seems so genuine and nice and I think he gets the shaft because people don't view Survivor in the same way as TAR and even other shows that are pure crap.
But it's been years now that he's come up with just delusional bullsh*t when he's challenged about casting decisions and other aspects of the show that have made it more like a 3 ringed circus than what it was at the beginning. And I was entertained by almost ALL regular-ish people competing in this crazy game and they didn't need to have people create characters before they even showed up or think about bringing in Brandon Hantz again. Jeff almost always sticks to his guns and spins things and it's really the only thing about him (clearly I only know him as the celebrity not as a friend) that bugs the crap out of me.
Brandon shouldn't have been allowed back. Jeff was/is wrong. I have NO idea if Brandon was acting, but after seeing 3 people from that family, it seems that if he was acting at all, he was still way too crazy and unstable even before he added any embellishment into his routine. Maybe things happen too fast for them to have decided to eject Brandon from the game, but I can't believe, since clearly Jeff can communicate with other producers that they didn't decide to go ahead and milk that for what they could and get their violent tribal. I think it's rationalizing to say it was good for Brandon to be able to be heard or that he needed to know Jeff wasn't picking sides. Once the that level of violent behavior erupts, get the goon squad out there and escort him away immediately.
And I don't feel badly for Brandon at all. There are too many other more deserving people for me to think about. Whatever his real problems are, the first time through the show and the crazy relationship with Russell exposed at the Reunion gave that grown man an opportunity to work on himself and last night showed me he didn't really do anything at all besides tell the Survivor people he was going to be different. Again, whether you like returning players or not, that spot should have been filled by someone worthy of playing the game.

Personally, I think Brandon is lucky to be alive at this point. Philip is a street fighter. After all those basketball games where he brings NBA skills to the street, people get pretty testy being schooled. Fights break out and Philip sometimes has to put down 7 or 8 thugs at a time.
What they didn't show was while Brandon was on the beach calling out Philip, Philip had climbed into a tree and was ready to drop down like a puma once Brandon walked under him.

Why didn't Brandon just leave? Did he just want to screw over the tribe. He should have just left and let them play the IC without him.

If he really wanted to screw the tribe, he could have quit after the tribe told Jeff that they forfeit the challenge. Unless the producers modified the rules on the spot, the tribe still would have had to go to tribal council, but without Brandon, so someone else would have been gone also.

I think he answered your question when he started dumping out the food (and talking about sabotaging his team from the 1st or 2nd episode).

I don't think Brandon is playing. Over the years I have known some people that were later diagnosed as bi-polar and they can get this weird far away look in their eyes. Obviously, I am not diagnosing him but I just wouldn't be shocked.
Either way he likes to be the center of attention, but for all the wrong reasons.

Since he carries within him the souls of both a lion and a gorilla (his tattoos) he's more likely to A.) Sit back and let the women do the heavy lifting or B.) Grunt and slowly chew on leaves while leveling a steely-eyed glare. Wait a minute, he already does both of those things.

They should try suspending the HII from the bottom of the ocean or something different like that. Or just not keep putting it back in play.

@dolphinboy - I think you hit a lot of good points about Probst, but you need to remember he's no longer just a hired host, he's a producer - which means he has a financial investment in the show's ongoing success...so you're always going to get a diplomatic response from him these days and not (necessarily) what he really thinks.

If there were no HII's, people would just form their cliques early on and then systematically vote the lower numbers out and then continue to play that game. It would be boring as hell. Once upon a time, that formula was fine, but when everyone who goes on Survivor now has watched for 20+ seasons, they know the ins and outs. HII's are vital to keep people on their toes, and to keep the power shifting around.
As far as Brandon, here's the thing - Last time he was on the show, his notorious villain of an uncle practically crucified Brandon. His own blood... and why? Because he went out to play Survivor in a way that would cleanse the Hantz name. This sent Russell over the edge, and even carried that animosity over in their personal lives. Brandon has openly stated that Russell has made the family dynamic very difficult for him.
So, of course, what's happening this season is transparent - He has something to prove... but not to us. He's proving something to his family. Him going crazy on Survivor this last episode may have been genuine... a residual effect of dealing with all the stress in his life after the last time he played. He actually mentioned something about this in this episode, saying life has been tough for him on a personal level since the last time he played. OR, he could have done it all intentionally just to make his uncle proud of him, which I think is far less likely.
Brandon was already battling some demons the last time around, but his uncle basically ruined him.

Did anyone else notice during the challenge that Brenda could barely walk? I don't remember her getting injured but she looked like she had a pretty bad sprain or something going on.
I don't know how old Brandon's kids are, but if he is so worried about them then he should have thought about how embarrassed they are going to be from what he made of his 15 minutes of fame.(and his horrible fucking tattoos)
I seriously almost choked on my orange juice.

I had already bowed out of Survivor the first time Brandon was on there. CBS milked this Hantz thing so far that I just couldn't watch anymore. I really think CBS should be ashamed of themselves for putting these people on TV time and time again when it's been proven that they aren't stable. What's next, another shot for Willie on BB so he can have some "redemption"?
