Re: Hell's Kitchen -- Season 11 Thread -- Tuesdays (FOX)
So did anyone stick with this through the end?
I finished the finale the other day, and wasn't surprised. The only shocking thing to me was that Mary had made it as far as she had. It seemed like from the start it was going to be Ja'Nelle and Jon as the top two, so when Mary somehow made it that far there was no chance in hell she was going to win the top prize.
This season really seemed to just drag on forever. Fox took a lot of liberty milking this, splitting epsiodes unnecessarily in to 2 parts just for the show to fill time in the summer. I'm definitely burnt out until next year when they do it all over again.

I always stick through to the end on this one. My only surprise was that Mary made it into the final and not Jon. I actually thought he'd be the winner.

I got through the last episode in under 30 min with all the FFing. This is my last season of the show; it has gotten beyond terrible.

I slogged to the end, but between not airing for a week or two and then dragging the final four (or five?) out into a three part episode it just started to drag on forever.

Season is over but saw this about the winner:
Report: ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ Winner Loses Prize After Failing Drug Test
The victory was sweet but short for Ja’Nel Witt, winner of this summer’s “Hell’s Kitchen.”
Witt announced that she will not be taking the grand prize (a fancy head chef position at the Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at Caesars Palace) just a month after her win was revealed.
“Due to personal matters, I will not be joining the team in Las Vegas, but I wish them continued success,” she wrote on Twitter.
However, according to TMZ, there is more to the story than meets the eye. The site reports that Witt tested positive for cocaine, a big no-no at Caesars Palace and she subsequently wasn’t allowed to take the job, which pays $250,000.
The report states that Caesars Palace required Witt to submit to a drug test in order to take the job, something the company requires all employees to do, and apparently she “failed miserably,” per one of TMZ’s sources.
The good news for Witt, however, is that she will apparently still get the $250,000, which was part of the grand prize from the show.
