Any Directv subscribers losing Fox?

It would that directv and some fox affiliates can't make a deal and fox will be blacked out on march 1. These damn disputes kill me. Not because I'll be missing much but, how we all get screwed over in the end when directv raises prices. I guess I can family guy and american dad on adult swim but, no options for my Jerry Springer.

Not me. FOX/Directv had this dispute sometime during Fall 2011 and settled it. Many of the posters here can attest that there were promos all over American Horror Story and Sons of Anarchy saying to call Directv blah blah blah. Your FOX affiliate must be independently owned.

Sounds like the Sinclair dispute. You local FOX is probabaly owned by Sinclair.

Call up DTV and get some credits. During the Viacom dispute last summer, I got $90 in credits plus free SHO and STZ for 6 months.

What a bunch of dicks: http://www.foxbaltimore.com/template..._statement.pdf

It's funny that they mention Dish Network as an alternative to getting the stations they own when they pulled this exact same shit with them about a year ago.

Looks like they're trying to work it out though, and DirecTV is still carrying their stations via a short-term extension.

Re: Any Directv subscribers losing Fox?

Who wrote that release? I love how these 2 Q&As are back to back:

Q: Is this just a dispute about money?
A: Although Sinclair does not believe it is productive to negotiate its private business relationships in the public, the inability to reach agreement with DirecTV is about more than just money.

Q: Is it fair to characterize Sinclair as "pulling its stations" from the DirecTV satellite system?
A: We would not characterize this as Sinclair "pulling its stations" or DirecTV "refusing to carry" Sinclair's stations. This is simply the case of a buyer and seller being unable to agree on price, something that occurs every day in both commercial and consumer transactions.

I no longer have Directv, but my local NBC channel has been scrolling that Directv will no longer be carrying WTWC NBC40 in Tallahassee, starting today. It also states that cable and Dish are not involved in the blackout and will continue to carry it.

Ever notice whenever someone says "It's not about money," it is about the money?

Oddly enough I had the same message, but about CBS. I checked it today and the channel is up with a sub-channel set up by DirecTV saying that the dispute was resolved.
