Sucks that Crixus is going to splinter off. I know that is what happened in history, but still...

Interesting how Naevia has gone from someone I had the most sympathy for to someone I want to see killed off as quickly as possible.

I'm shocked at the negative reactions. I really enjoyed the episode tonight. I know the message was a bit on the nose, but I thought it was executed well despite that.

Sheesh. I thought that episode was excellent. I don't know who's cooler, Gannicus or his girlfriend? And I'm just waiting for Yoko....err,um Naevia to bite it.

At this point, I'm just waiting for all of them to bite it. The rebels are idiots and as a whole, the actors who play them are average at best. Team Crassus/Caesar!

Decimation (Latin: decimatio; decem = "ten") was a form of military discipline used by officers in the Roman Army to punish mutinous or cowardly soldiers. The word decimation is derived from Latin meaning "removal of a tenth".[1]
A unit selected for punishment by decimation was divided into groups of ten; each group drew lots (Sortition), and the soldier on whom the lot fell was executed by his nine comrades, often by stoning or clubbing.[citation needed] The remaining soldiers were given rations of barley instead of wheat and forced to sleep outside the Roman encampment.
Because the punishment fell by lot, all soldiers in the group were eligible for execution, regardless of the individual degree of fault, or rank and distinction. The leadership was usually executed independently of the one in ten deaths of the rank and file.

Wow. I had no clue that was a real thing. I thought that was just some brutal thing they made up for the show.
