Re: The Real World: Portland - March 27th
This is by far the most pathetic, whiny, annoying cast ever. This entire season has been pointless.

The first few...that were socially relevant. Pretty much pre-Las Vegas.

I think the need to increase the ratio of The Challenge to Real World seasons that they produce now. I think it's 1:1 now. It should be more like 3:1.

^I agree. At this point Real World is just advanced scouting for the Challenge.
This upcoming seasons Challenge cast has been revealed (and their teams). 4 Portland cast members will be there.

The winners of the Challenge have been revealed if you want to find them. I am happy with the results for the most part.

So how come Nia wasn't kicked out of the house when she was fired by the pizza place? It used to be that if they got fired from that season's job, they would be sent home. I think it happened a few times. It's not clear though if working at the pizza place is mandated by the producers or for some reason they all got jobs at the same place.

I thought the forced job thing was one of the worst additions they did to RW.
First season I've watched since the horrible DC season and I'm enjoying it. Nia is horrible and I miss Joi but there has been a good amount of drama and stupidity to keep me watching every week.

According to Nia (take that for what it is worth), her last week there she had to go through a metal detector to get into the house and she was being watched by the Portland Gang Unit because of what she threatened to do to Avery and Johnny after their fight. She claims they started it but she wanted to finish it and "they had NO idea how REAL it was about to get". She also said she was constantly cursing at the producers, riding bikes to get away from the camera crew and smoking weed as much as she could.

Epic. And it looks like it's not over yet. What happened to getting thrown out after a single punch? Was there not a producer on duty that day?
Just hoping that Nia and Averey appear on a season of The Challenge together one day.

Nia is the worst person I've seen on TV in a very long time. What a horrible person. Life is going to smack her in the face very hard.
Meanwhile, Jessica is the most annoying person I've seen on TV in a long time.

Johnny and Averey are so friggin annoying I was rooting for Nia during the fight. Johnny talks a big game and screams at all the girls. He said something to Nia like if she starts something hes going to finish it and finish it fast... and then she whooped his ass.

Although we'll see with the vote they're having next week. But no, Avery and Johnny did not start it. It was Nia, all the time. Seriously she's got problems.

He's not going to hit a woman on national TV, much less at all. You don't do that no matter how much people would think she deserved it.

What was the whole thing with the E-Mail, I missed what Bird read that she accused Jessica of being fake for the cameras?

Thing is, I agreed with Nia's point on this one. Their dog is shitting all over the house and they expect her to clean it up just because she stepped in it. My position would have been exactly Nia's. Just because I pet and feed your dog occasionally doesn't mean I am going to clean up after it. They also had the right to ask her to leave the dog alone and I would have complied with that. But of course Nia had to keep egging it on. she can't leave anything alone.
But I don't know why the producers allowed someone to bring their dog anyway. If I showed up on the show and someone brought their stupid fucking dog, I would have been pissed.
Some pretty good punches in that fight. I loved the MTV violence PSA before the fight. Haha!
This crew is just poison together. It has been interesting to watch Jordan go from TV time all the time to basically a shadow in the house. He must have decided to back off as it sure wasn't making him look good. Now that he isn't an obnoxious asshole, he gets no TV time.

If you believe in a god that hears and knows everything you think and do, why do you need to make a big deal about being "pure" and buying a ring to symbolize your personal oath between you and it. Doesn't it already know what you are deciding? The ring is just to garner some attention from others, especially when she keeps flashing it around and mentioning it to people who obviously don't give a shit and to make herself feel special.

Bird was just irritated with Jessica's whole sudden god squad/purity ring thing and feels she is just trying to get attention from all that stupid stuff...which i readily agree.

So I guess my point is that Nia is mostly right but she still should have stepped up and cleaned it up. Especially because she insists so much on spending time with the dog. With that said, Johnny also had no basis to be THAT pissed about it since it is ultimately his responsibility.
Nia took it too far though. Her acting as if she's queen of the world makes me unreasonably angry. I hope she gets a spoonful of humble pie on her way out.

Yes, they are annoying (Johnny and Averey), and they should shut the hell up and clean up after their crapping machine of a dog. But Nia knew full well Johnny would never swing on her, which makes her actions all the more despicable. If she thought there was the slightest chance he would curb stomp her in front of the roommates, crew, and an eventual TV audience she would never have gone anywhere near him. (Not just for this reason) Nia is simply as hideously repulsive an individual as I have seen on TV in a long time.

Dude, I'm not proud of it, but I've watched every season of the real world going back to la. I think I was like 13 years old. After the season, I'm out. This season was just gross and MTV really sunk to a new low. I'm just too old for this crap I guess

So does this new non-interference to violence policy from the producers apply to The Challenge also? I can't wait to see CT or some other drunken fool beat the crap out of someone every episode with nothing being done.
Also, MTV must be getting cheap. No vacation for them this season? Maybe they stopped it awhile ago. When was the last season that had a vacation?
I also completely forgot that they were in Portland. They really didn't do a good job of showing off the city. I think they spent more time at home than any other season it seems.
If anyone is interested, Dustin and Heather from the last Las Vegas season are on the new season of Couples Therapy on VH1 that just started. It looks like they will deal more with Dustin's gay porn history.
