The Vampire Diaries -- "Down the Rabbit Hole" -- 2/14/13
Synopsis:
CHARLIE BEWLEY FROM "TWILGHT" GUEST STARS AS ONE OF THE FIVE HUNTERS - On the island, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) has an ugly run-in with a Hunter named Vaughn (guest star Bewley), and realizes he is one of The Five. Stefan (Paul Wesley) confesses his true feelings about the possibility of becoming human again to Elena (Nina Dobrev). When a stunning new piece of information about the cure is suddenly revealed, it changes the stakes for everyone. Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) helps Bonnie (Kat Graham) recognize what is real and what is an illusion, and Shane (guest star David Alpay) is comforted by a woman from his past, Caitlin (guest star Camille Guaty, "Prison Break"). Back in Mystic Falls, Caroline (Candice Accola) and Tyler (Michael Trevino) find that their attempt to translate the code on the Hunter's Sword is futile without help from Klaus (Joseph Morgan), who has his own reasons for solving the puzzle. Claire Holt also stars. Chris Grismer directed the episode written by Jose Molina (#414).

Wonder if Jeremy is really dead.
That would make Matt the only human character left. And a boring one at that.

I didnt think to check before deleting the show from my dvr, but does Jeremy still wear the ring?
If Katherine takes the cure, would she be able to provide Klaus with the blood to make hybrids again?

That is where I think the story is heading. Elena remains a vamp and Katherine's doppelganger blood is used to create more hybrids. I did like the addition of the new hunter.

Also I read since hes a hunter now, no need to wear one due to the curse in all. (But still ya may want to wear one - you know in case you screw up and get killed or the vampire well forgets or doesn't know about the curse and decides to kill you.)

I thought he gave April a vervane bracelet or necklace or something to prevent vampire mind control? Would death by hunter be something a human with the ring would be saved by? I guess they are kind of supernatural.

I've been behind a good 4 episodes, but managed to catch up.
I've been happy with the plot progression the last few episodes. Nice twist that the cure is only for one person. Maybe a little odd that everybody just says "oh well". I would expect Stefan to say they have to use it on the imortal guy.
So over Klaus. He's most interesting when held ruthless, but then they try and make him likable. Daemon's chat with him was very appropriate. I'll be happy to see him leave, but will have no interest in watching the spinoff.
I hope Jeremy isn't dead. Every time his plot has some interest or momentum the writers screw it up. I like his new role, but he needs to grow up. Tired of his indecisiveness.
Katherine.
