Synopsis:

MANU BENNETT ("SPARTACUS") GUEST STARS AS SLADE WILSON

After Oliver (Stephen Amell) is shot, he turns to a surprising person for help - Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards). Diggle (David Ramsey) is stunned when he sees Felicity walk through the front door of the lair dragging a dying Oliver behind her, and the two team up to save Oliver's life. As Oliver (Stephen Amell) hovers between life and death, he flashes back to a seminal event on the island - a daring escape attempt with his new friend Slade Wilson (guest star Manu Bennett). Katie Cassidy, Willa Holland, Paul Blackthorne and Susanna Thompson also star. John Behring directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim (#114).

I am really liking this show.

I guess we see why that happened in the first few minutes of the show.

Totally cliche way to do the flashback, but loved seeing the island stuff.

This is more like it. Less of the annoying sidekicks and siblings and more of the island flashbacks.

The line Oliver said about being stuck on the island with a guy named Wilson was funny.

This was a pretty good episode. Lot more island stuff than I ever thought would be in a single episode.

What was the name of the "evil" Deathstroke? Billy Greenfield? Worst...comic....book...villian...name...EVAR...

It's William Wintergreen. I don't remember him as a primary villian more of a secondhand to the Slade.

Sounds like a chewing gum more than anything. He sure died easily though.

Isn't Deathstroke supposed to be a Supervillian? Unless they're going to make him a baddie somwhere down the line, it's an interesting choice to have him train Ollie.

What was up with the close up shots of the tatoo on Ollie and the captive daughter? Was it a dragon? Something fishy going on with that daughter too.

They both had the same tattoo, in the same place. Not exactly sure what that means.

Well he's a "supervillian" who spends most of this time getting thwarted by a bunch of teeenagers. That's got to tough on the psyche. It's been stated before but Green Arrow's traditional rougues gallery is lacking.

If I remember from my comic book reading a zillion years back she's called Shado and had a pretty decent history with Green Arrow...

In the comics she was a bad ass and



With all the changes in comics I don't even know if that's even true today.

I'm sure Deathstroke still will be. We don't know for sure Wintergreen is really dead. And he got his eye taken out, which is one of Deathstroke's major aspects.

But man, Wintergreen, shout out for Jericho (Slade's son Joey) AND Shado?

Ah, the easter eggs for us geeks. Love it.

Before they showed Ollie with the same tattoo, I wondered if Shado was going to have grown up in to China White.

I wondered the same thing when they first mentioned a woman there on the island.

loved how he surprised Felicity in her car and how she said (paraphrasing) that so much about him was starting to make sense

I really doubt Deathstroke is Billy Wintergreen, as his name in the comics is Slade Wilson.

I know, but it dawned on me that they've currently got Slade being too nice to be a villain. This may change.

Course they may also have him die, and Wintergreen take over his identity instead.

Loved it.

Loved the flashbacks on the island. The fight scene between the 2 Deathstrokes was badass.

Glad that Felicity is in the mix too. They need some kind of computer geek to help them out and at least she's cute. The glasses add to the nerdy hot factor.

I wouldn't necessarily assume that Wintergreen is dead, all they showed was his one eye with a knife sticking out of it. One of the more famous scenes in the comics is Green Arrow sticking an arrow in Deathstroke's eye.
