I agree it's a pattern of behavior. I can also hold more than one thought at a time... I don't celebrate people losing their jobs over social media posts, I hate nazi comparisons from both sides, I hate the victomhood industry mindset, and I believe that companies can hire and fire whoever they want.

It's not just that she's conservative, she's been borderline Qanon. There's more than the Nazi tweet. It's been a series of covid denial, anti-vaxx, anti-trans (mocking people who put pronouns in their bio with putting beep-bop-boop in hers) memes.
She was posting election theft memes after the election.

She's been doing it since the end of last year so I'm sure she was warned since Disney didn't fire her then, For someone who's not a major part of the series. I imagine Disney didn't want to deal with it,

If someone doesn't agree with the prevailing narrative or narratives (whatever they are)... they are immediately shunned, cancelled, persecuted, fired, etc. I think that much is pretty obvious, especially in the last year.

With that being said, it's different strokes for different folks. Hell, the harassment thread in the movie forum can pretty much back that up.

Yeah, Cabello also isn't the star of a TV series, she's representing herself - not a brand - there. I guess her 15 year old self wasn't enough to get her dropped from her label.

I'm not a fan of people going through people's tweet history to find a reason to hate them, at the same time, people should know to erase the creepy shit if they're in the public spotlight. If you're broadcasting phrases like "women shouldn't vote" and "I used to kidnap homeless women and cut off their breasts." you probably aren't going to be a great representative for programming on the CW.

Celebs will eventually need to realize that Twitter isn't different than saying this shit in an interview or on live TV, you're broadcasting it.

They're brand representative, and even though Gugino didn't actually get fired for her tweet yesterday, it will make future employment a little more difficult, or at least come with more "social media clauses."

He got canceled for his actions and the whole thing is that if some are really apologetic about it, they tend to at least be given a second chance.
