Odd that Olyphant is just announced now yet S2 shooting is complete?

Did Cad Bane ever die in Clone Wars? Cuz if I had to cast a real person to play him, Olyphant would be high on the list.

Great news. So glad this show hasn't been affected by the pandemic.

It demonstrates the importance of always wearing a mask.

They finished filming just 5 days before the shutdown:

It was literally five days and the country went down. We were enormously lucky, and then we didn’t wait [to finish postproduction]. Even though we wondered to what extent people could work remotely, our IT department and ILM had everybody up and running within a week, working from home and continuing to work in the cutting room and on visual effects shots. It was pretty staggering how quickly they got everybody up and running. So we haven’t really lost any time.

Looking forward to season two. I wonder how long it will be for future seasons to film and release though. At least this one squeaked by and was able to be finished in the midst of the pandemic.

let's just look forward to another completed season of a great show and then worry about the future of it and the rest of all shows which haven't even been produced bc of this vile pandemic. seems to me like getting something is better than nothing at this point, especially since there are more important things production companies and actors and studios are thinking of...like, um, not dying.

No reason to think they wouldn't. Disney+ isn't Netflix.

I’m not going to be so cruel as to let you believe this is real, because it’s ultimately a damn Rick roll. But the parts before that are honestly really well done and had me so hyped for a second there.

I've never subscribed to Disney+, so at this point I'm just going to let them build up then.

For season one, good thing I didn’t let the episodes build up and then register to watch them all at once. Normally I might do that to avoid subscribing for multiple months.

However, I’m glad I did because the memes that generated from season one and were plastered all over social media were spoilers galore. I don’t even have to mention the context of the memes for people who haven’t seen the show. I’m sure they’ve seen the memes.

For fans of the show who also listen to vinyl, Mondo is releasing the season one soundtrack.

Saw that. It’s cool and I do like soundtracks, but I don’t need an eight vinyl set. Especially for $200. I’d prefer La-La Land Records or someone have the rights and put it on CD where it would be cheaper. Plus I don’t think Mondo includes digital codes with their vinyl releases.

$200 is steep. I do like this score a lot. Reminds me of spaghetti westerns and old samurai movies. Which was obviously the point.

Re: The Mandalorian -- Star Wars -- News, rumors, etc. -- possible spoilers

I just watched the "making of" video that was all about the music of The Mandalorian. Very cool to see the specific instruments used and the composer explaining his process.

I recommend watching all of the videos in this set (Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian"). Each episode is about a different aspect of production: directors, actors, digital effects, practical effects, music, etc. Really interesting stuff--especially the one that shows how they use giant LED screen arrays instead of green-screen for a lot of the background visuals.

I waited until all of season 1 was released before watching. I did get "spoiled" about Baby Yoda, but his existence is revealed at the end of the first episode, so it wasn't that drastic a spoiler, and memes of BY from later episodes didn't really spoil anything from a plot standpoint. It's not really a show that depends on twists to be entertaining.

I posted in the other Mandalorian thread that the first time I watched season 1 was on a week by week basis as they were released and felt the series was somewhat flat from a storytelling point of view. I re-watched the entire series by binging with my son a few months ago and thought the whole season played a lot better as a whole when watching multiple episodes together. I’m seriously debating doing that again with season 2 and letting several weeks worth of episodes pile up before watching.

MLBfan24 has a point about spoilers though. For some reason people these days are completely inconsiderate when it comes to spoiling shows/movies.

I know not everyone has time to watch TV and movies on the same schedule. But for a show like The Mandalorian or The Boys, if you don't watch it within 24 hours, you literally have to stay off the computer or YouTube. Big pop culture shows get talked about right away openly.

I know on Facebook, when EW or Deadline reveals major things that happen in an episode on their "headline" posts, many get absolutely livid. But I get it, if you can't keep up and don't want to be spoiled, you have to stay off a computer or not look at any entertainment or pop culture publications. It's their job to talk about it right away and get clicks.

My girlfriend said the same thing actually. She wasn’t as into the show when watching it week to week, but she rewatched the show with her mom as a binge once all episodes were out and she liked it more. I liked it week to week myself, and like the idea of having the show spread out so it isn’t just a blip for a day and never talked about again. I guess people have different ways of enjoying things though.
