Sadness. I watched Quincy every week with the parents as a child.

Don't know if I should feel worse that he just died or that I had no idea that until today, he was still alive.

What are we all going to do when Abe Vigoda actually dies?

RIP Jack. Always remember you for Quincy...although you were great in 12 Angry Men. Now off to watch Quincy on netflix. I'd just begun to get into watching it lately, still in Season 5. One of my favorite shows

Re: Jack Klugman...RIP.

Back in the 80's I had the privilege of greeting and spending a few moments with him one morning at ABC TV. He was there to do the A.M. LA Show with Tawny Little.

He was driving a dusty brown Datsun 240Z that had all sorts of stuff on the dash. The passenger and back seats were filled and cluttered with papers, boxes and other items. He definitely was Oscar!

I must have done something to leave an impression on him because when he was leaving the lot he honked his horn and signaled me over to say goodbye. We talked for a bit, and like a little star struck kid, I ended up getting an autograph. What a fine morning that was.

From his kindness in that brief moment, the memory of him has never failed to give me a feeling of peace & comfort. I realized that day something very special happened to me. I had an encounter with one truly sincere & genuine loving man. That just doesn't happen everyday.

No doubt he will be missed by many who had the pleasure of his company.

Re: Jack Klugman...RIP.

Great story! He was a favorite actor of mine from "12 Angry Men" to "The Odd Couple" to "Quincy". I felt bad for him in the late 80s when he lost his voice to cancer. It was great that he worked with Tony Randall to get it back. Abe Vigoda wins yet again.

Loved him in pretty much everything I saw in him. Hoping for the rest of Quincy on DVD.

Re: Jack Klugman...RIP.

Being an avid Twilight Zone junkie, I always regarded episodes with Jack Klugman as among the best. I'm older now and recently, I saw "In praise of Pip" and was reminded about how good writing elevates a story.

In Praise of PIP

I cannot remember a performance or show of his I did not enjoy.

RIP Max Phillips/Jesse Cardiff/Joey Crown/Quincy ME/Oscar and #5... Thanks for the memories
