Synopsis:

The holiday incites a mix of emotions as Adam (Peter Krause) and Kristina (Monica Potter) experience a health scare while Crosby (Dax Shepard) and Jasmine (Joy Bryant) celebrate their first Christmas together as a family. Sarah (Lauren Graham) is torn between her feelings for Mark (Jason Ritter) and her evolving relationship with Hank (Ray Romano). Amber (Mae Whitman) and Ryan (Matt Lauria) face challenges in their relationship. Meanwhile, Zeek (Craig T. Nelson) helps to restore belief in a childhood hero. Apologies to anyone who wanted to chime in on last night's Parenthood. Last night was the last episode of 2012. Only 4 more new episodes left this season when it returns January 1st.

Edit: NBC.com and The Parenthood Facebook page both say 1/1/13.

I'm confused, because both IMDB and Wikipedia (and now your post) all say the show returns on January 8th, but the closing of last night's show said that new episodes return Tuesday, January 1st, which makes no sense for any number of reasons.

Edit: NBC's website also says the next episode, Keep on Rowing, will be on January 1st.

Yeah I just noticed that. That makes no sense airing a new episode on New Year's Day. I went off TheFutoncritic.com, which says 1/8/13

Oh well, it's wait and see I guess.

Jeez. For a second there, I was afraid we might lose Kristina.

Hattie's cameo(s) are almost as bad as Jake's on 2 1/2 Men.

Just started watching this show. Watched the first 2 episodes of season 1 with my wife (she's watched all the episodes already), and really liked. I know from my wife that you cry almost every episode.

Good interview with Peter Krause (Adam) about this episode and the season thus far.

Soooo is Jason Ritter now off the show for good? I would hope not as the stage is set for a very good showdown and this show does jealously like nobody elses business.
