I wonder if tonight they'll finally reveal what's been obvious for a while: that the MacGuffin of this season (al-Qaeda's target) is Finn and Dana's school?

It has been obvious? Thought never crossed my mind.

So thoroughly and completely sick of the daughter. Why couldn't the black helicopter take her away?

I had considered that. Otherwise why make them such a significant and annoying part of an otherwise great show? And at this point considering the only characters that would be put in danger are a douchey kid and Brody's insufferable daughter I say let 'em have it.

Was that Nazir at the end of the ep? I couldn't tell; didn't really look the same to me.

Yep - apparently US customs gave him a razor and some shaving cream.

Couldn't understand the one word he said..."Nicholas"?

Yep; that's what he said. Thanks for the confirmation. When Nazir has a beard he looks just like Dale from the Walking Dead. Without the beard, not at all.

I thought it was someone other than Nazir at the end at first. Without the beard he looks a LOT different.

Groucho: I hadn't even considered the school being the target, but it does make a lot of sense.

Not to get off topic but I fail to see how that would be considered a "MacGuffin" in the traditional sense of the word.

Love the show, loved the episode.

But... I'm getting tired of them telling Carrie to not do something and she does it anyway. They are like "this is an order! do you understand?", and then they just shrugged and continue like normal.

Other than that, the writing is just perfect.

That was Winters' best performance on the show. When he freaked out on his wife and the anguish on his face? Perfect.

The Quinn in this show is much better than the Quinn in the show that comes on before this.

The school being the target is a great call. Makes sense in a lot of ways. I actually hope it goes through and Nazir gets his revenge.

Because they used to write for 24?

Re: Homeland -- "I'll Fly Away" -- 11/18/12

It makes perfect sense given that the VP blew up Nazir's son's school. So Nazir is going to tell Brody he has to walk in there and blow it up along with his own daughter?

Thank you. It's such a great show w/o the stupid unnecessary 90210 hit & run storyline. But I guess the theory advanced above makes total sense.

I have to admit - I don't know Winters/Brody's real name, but I least I know he's Brody here. But that's my problem with DVRs and the lack of opening credits in shows now.

This forum has a strange obsession with referring to characters in one show by the name of a character the actor played in a completely different show.

I still don't understand why the Prince of Morocco puts up with Juliet.

Also "Girl in Bar" needs to get nekkid like she did in season 1.

This is where the theory loses me. It's a great theory but the only way I buy it is if Nazir agrees that Brody's children don't need to be in the school. Which is very possible.

They want us to believe that Brody can still choose either side. I don't think the viewers will ever be able to buy that Brody would willingly put his children in harms way.

It's half a filler storyline (like 24, instead of doing filler episodes, they do filler storylines. Makes it all seem more action packed) but the other half could be to drive a wedge between Brody and his family.

Damian Lewis is Nick Brody.

Here's his IMDB profile with headshot

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0507073/

He's the 2nd name credited on the opening title sequence. Let me guess, you need an opening credits sequence like H50 to remember actors names?
