Re: Beauty and the Beast (The CW) -- Season 2 Thread

It's entertaining and the start to season two has a couple issues I hope get dealt with sooner then later.

I tried the second season premiere after dropping it very early in its first season. I love Kristin Kreuk but she needs a better vehicle for her talents than this series.

As I said earlier, it probably would have been a little hard for you to catch on what was happening. The show went 100% serialized probably 3/4 into season 1. They introduced a few new characters after you dropped it including Cat's real father who was an important part of the cliffhanger.

I liked the premiere. Thought it was a good start to the new season.

Not a big fan of the amnesia/memory wipe storyline they are doing to keep Cat and Vincent apart, but I see why they are going there. Keeps the storyline serialized, especially with Cat's father being some kind of major player now.

Kreuk looked really good as usual.

Episode 2 of 22 is tonight

VINCENT'S FEELINGS FOR CAT START TO RE-SURFACE JUST AS SHE DISCOVERS HOW DANGEROUS HE REALLY IS - While attempting to learn more about Vincent's (Jay Ryan) mission, Cat (Kristin Kreuk) gets kidnapped by Vincent. Their growing chemistry complicates his mission. Meanwhile, Tess (Nina Lisandrello), J.T. (Austin Basis) and Gabe (Sendhil Ramamurthy) come together to help Cat. Season 3 starts tonight, 6/11/15. 13 episode season. Looks like this has been off the air for a full year.

It was already renewed for a 4th season.

Yep the power of "It makes us tons of money in Europe". And it has been a year.

Re: Beauty and the Beast (The CW) -- Series Discussion Thread

The Series Finale aired this past week. Did anyone else here catch it?

Anyways, I was pretty happy with how everything ended. They wrapped up everything nicely. Vincent and Catherine ended up with their happy ending after all and ended up in Paris, France in the end. I thought it was a nice callback to the movie/musical with them living under the alias' of Adam and Belle. And the whole beast hunters storyline was brought to a close.

I'm glad the CW gave it a final season, despite awful ratings, and brought things to an end for those who stuck with it.

Hopefully Kristin Kreuk lands on a more successful series for her next gig.

Funny how this series started out as a police procedural remake of the 80's series and then they revamped the series and made it serialized with a mythology and it improved tremendously. Bummed that this show never caught on here.

RIP Beauty and the Beast.

If it had started off as a serialized mythology then I'd have watched it, but I tend to bypass any police/fbi/law/crime procedural shows and thus this show was a miss for me.
